How many people are usually in your DL convoy?

I was curious how many people are usually in everyone's parties when they visit DL. If you have lots and lots of people, do people ever bump heads on where they wanna go?

Usually it is just DD and me so its easy for the two of us to compromise and deal. DBF will go with us as well, he lets us choose. If his two kids come with us, they all let me lead since I am the "geek" of the group. If I bring my parents it gets slow. They zig zag way to much for me. Any group larger and then we have issues. No head butting, just slows us down and we end up criss crossing way more than we need to.

I have gone with dh or with my entire family. So we range from 2 to 16 at times. And yes, we can bump heads but we usually get along really well and enjoy our time. Everyone just kind of goes with the flow :goodvibes

Our first 3 trips it was just dd and I, so easy. Our last trip we took her god mother/my best friend. It was fun, but a bit more challenging dealing with another adult. This december we are going with godmother, her husband, their friend (who is currently my dbf) dd8 and dniece 13. I expect a whole different type of trip. (any advice is welcome)

It's usually almost always just me and DBF. We sometimes don't always agree on what we want to do and when, but we compromise. 4 out of 5 times we both get our ways since we have time.

On Sunday night we rode most of the Fantasyland rides and he always lets me pick what vehicle we get to ride (Sunday night was Teacups and Casey Jr) and I always ALWAYS pick the pink ones. So since I'm a nice girlfriend I let him pick what color Dumbo he wanted to ride and he picked blue. ;)

We usually have the hardest time on what to eat. But we have that problem at home too.

hahahahaha you guys are toooo cute:goodvibes

Our group size - 5-23, depending on how many of my DH's siblings' families go. This time (1 week and counting) it will be our 4, DH's #2 sister and her family + DMIL. DMIL always goes with us. So our group this time will be 9. We are the vets, so mostly everyone asks us what to do. If we have differing opinions on food, we just split up and agree to meet somewhere. Aren't cell phones the best!!!

We've been with our family (6 people) and just my DH and me. We've also been with a group of 12. We don't butt heads, but we do sometimes split up and meet up again, later. That seems to work out pretty well. Most people in our groups follow me around, though. I seem to be the Leader! :woohoo:

every time we go its different! the most we have ever gone with is 13 i think....that was years ago though. now its usually 5-8 (including baby). i think its easier to go with a smaller group--we did 4 adults and my son this last trip and it was soooo nice:) but i dont mind going with more people if they wanna come too:goodvibes

It has been somewhere between 2 and the highest being 6. Of course for the ladies trip there were 30+ of us!

I LOVE going with huge groups. It's always so much more fun and the magic is infectious!

I remember when we were going on Indiana Jones a few years back we had an entire Jeep just for the family. I love it :)

I always like to do groups, but nobody either seems to get their act together or else they flake on us. Just one of those things, I guess.

I'm really envious of the big family groups like yours and Jazz's. We have a really small family (just me and my bro and hubby and his bro - no parents anymore) that doesn't have the same tastes or goals in a vacation. It's like pulling teeth to get everyone together for the sake of my kids and it's only happened once (and to Monterey, not DL or WDW). It would be nice to say "Let's go to WDW - rooms are taken care of due to DVC - and have a good time together for the sake of the kids!" and have everyone happily agree!

The last two times, it was a big group of my closest friends(band trips) and boy was it hard to decide where to go. EVERYONE had different ideas. I just had to learn to go with the flow and enjoy what I did get to go on.

Usually it's just the 3 of us. If we go with my Mom and brother the 5 of us.

One time we had a family reunion on DH's side of the family, and there were 14 of us staying at the GCH! :)

This is only my second trip and there are 8 of us going. they have all so graciously accepted my doing the planning, preparing and arranging. :rotfl:
We will see how it goes. My older sis usually does all of the planning and arranging, but this time I get the privilege since it was originally supposed to be a trip for DH, DD and myself. They just all decided to tag along (okay, after much begging and crying from me). After 2 days we can all split up and do what we want. That is all of us but my parents. Someone has keep them in their party. We would lose mom and dad for sure if we let them wander around DLR by themselves:laughing:

Its usually me, mom, dad, and bro, but now I just had a new baby and so my son will be joining us on our next trip. Usually we do some things as a family, but my mom and I like to break away from the men and go do our girly princess things. Then the guys can make their way to the ESPN sports bar for a beer and burger and then head back to get sick while spinning on the Grizzly River Run.

Nancy, can I be your family and we can go? LOL Just our families of course. :) Geez, that would be amazing!!!!!! No one else in my family (outside of my immediate family of course) gets the whole Disney obsession.

We have gone with just DBF and myself (so 2) and we've gone with just the little girls (so 4), we've also gone with my oldest DD and her DBF (so 6). We definitely prefer the going with the little girls (altho they aren't really little anymore LOL) and we always compromise. When we go we each pick 1 thing that we must do during our trip, then after that we just do what feels good. :) We are pretty easy going on our Disney trips, that's the way we like it.

It's usually just the 2 of us and I like it that way!
