We are driving from PA to FL - staying off-site in a home in Emerald Island, where we havea luandry facility available.

How many outfits to pack for each of us? I certainly don't mind tossing laundry in at night. I don't want to pack too much, but also need to make sure we have enough to keep us comfy too.

We'll be gone at total of 10 days (4 on the road - 2 down, 2 back) and 7 in Orlando.

One set of clothes gets packed in an overnight bag for the on-the-road hotel stays.

I take a minimum of 3 sets in that same scenario. One for the first day in the car, one for the second, one to wear while the first two wash. You've got an extra set in case you run through 2 outfits in a day, or in case something doesn't make it into the laundry, but IME you still do a load of laundry every day.

I also toss in a couple extra sets of socks and underwear.

I,My wife, and 5 children are leaving on a 10 day trip ourselves from Tennessee to Disney World next week. We are packing at least 6 days worth of clothes and 2 bathing suits or at least I am. I have told all my children to pack only and I mean only what they plan on wearing as to limit over packing.
We travel yearly and almost have it down to a science. Plan on having enough clothes for 5 days with an extra set of clothes for when you wash again.
That way you will always have fresh and clean clothes but not to much.
Also we only pack for 5 days with extra set as to leave room for any extra shirts or clothing we may purchase on the way to and from Disney.
Be sure to carry a sewing kit to repair any snags or rips. Also hats are a good thing as well to bring to limit sun exposure.
You know more what you need to feel comfortable so pack accordingly.
Be smart and remember.
One load to wash on a vacation is easier than packing for ten days and having to do it all when you get home. Also I only want to do laundry once on my vacation. Not daily.
Besides the laundry may get a little stinky.
Have a great time at Disney World!!!!!!!
We will be attending May 21-27.:yay:

This is good planning. Pack for 5 days. I also pack 1 nightie per person, extra undies/socks. Too much sweating and I want to change my undies alot:rolleyes:

Thanks - I was kind of thinking about 4-5 sets for the kids, and maybe 3 for me and DH (our clothes are bigger and take up more room LOL). Of course, extra socks and undies!

I overpack every year, and space a more limited this year, so I am trying to be good!

I have packed 4 each for our 15 night trip. We too are staying offsite. The baby has 5.

Each outfit is packed complete (so shorts, t shirt, underpants) in a ziplock bag. The plan is 1 on 1 in the wash 2 spare.

I don't much like doing laundry at home, but throwing a load in before we leave for our day in the morning and then in the drier when we return in the afternoon isn't hard and it saves a whole lot of space in my suitcase for my shopping trips.

When we go i count 2 outfits per day. your shorts and tee shirts are so sweaty after a day in the parks you need fresh ones after an evening shower, before heading back to the park to eat. i only want to have to do laundry once in the 14 nite trip so you can imagine how much clothes i bring for 2 adults and 1 child!! I have managed to cut back on the shoes though:goodvibes

We wear clean outfits in the evening since the clothes get pretty sweaty and sometimes downright scary after a water ride during the day. So having a laundry facility is key if you don't want to pack a lot!

I recommend saving all those old socks, undies, even t-shirts/shorts/etc, and tossing them as you use them. I do this with clothing I would not donate (usually just undergarments and pjs but sometimes I find other items I wouldn't donate but would be throwing away anyway).

I'm bad! I pack way too much. I pack an outfit a day for my niece. I pack less for myself. We each have 2 swimsuits and I mix up our clothes in the luggage. Especially after last year when my niece's bag went missing for an entire day.

We do laundry twice while on a 14 night trip. I always bring extra supplies for another load or two.

I'm slightly obsessed with my children's clothing, we were there for 10 days and I packed a total of 58 outfits for the three of them plus 4 bathing suits for each of them. They of course did not end up wearing all of them but I like to have options.

For the sake of photos, I'd take enough shirts to wear a new one each day plus one or two spares. Pants/shorts can be fairly generic and washed and worn again (khaki, denim, white) without looking like you're wearing the same thing. And since you're not limited by airline weights, pack away.

That's why I pack so many as my niece likes dresses so that's what I pack. I like to have photos with different outfits.

We live about 2.5 hours away from Disney. So, we drive in. We also tend to go to bed fairly early and stay at the parks all day with no breaks in between, so we only wear one outfit per day. We do not do laundry while we are there. I pack 1 per day for the adults with 1 extra. Then I pack 1 per day for the kids with 2-3 extra. One outfit per person stays in the car in a bag just in case we need it (we drive to the parks) we can just go back to the car and get it. I do pack extra underwear for everyone as I like to change into fresh ones with pajamas (which I usually pack 1 per day of those, too) at night.

We pack three to four outfits each if we have two days on the road. Only three if we're driving straight through.

I understand the concern about the pictures being the same with a limited wardrobe, so might throw in an extra t-shirt or two for the youngest. If you're expecting to buy shirts for souvies, though, that wouldn't be necessary.

I prefer to do a load of wash every night while we're winding down. If we stay at the parks late, I might do it in the morning while we're getting ready and having breakfast.
