How many of you are really getting out there at 4am?

I get down to bus stop by 3:30 am. By the time get on bus from BWV and over to start it is 4:00 am. By the time to chat and porta pottie break, it's time to walk to corral. I sit and rest until countdown. With races starting 20 min earlier than a few years ago, a lot less stand around time.

I thought the first bus was at 2AM until I read the link - so figure 23,000 people need to get to Epcot - they all wont fit on one bus at 4:00 AM...

and the race packet/link said the busses start at 3AM -

You are wise beyond your years!

There are only so many assets deployed for transportation. There is a lot of magic at Disney but they can't poof 500 people into a 50 passenger bus or 200 passenger monorail. I predict a lot of folks will burn a lot of glycogen worrying about whether another bus will be coming or whether they should call (407) 422-2222 - Yellow Cab Company

It's too bad we can't walk over from the BCV/BWVs. We can't, right? :confused3

OK, all us early birds can huddle togther for warmth. Maybe we'll use a few GUs to start a fire.

You can bet my frigid, frostbitten a** will be on the first monorail/bus out of the BLT/CR. I'll find someplace/somebody to keep warm for a bit. Wrapping oneself in 2-3 layers of mylar works wonders also.

Or barring that, I'll sleep in the guts of a dead ton-ton like Luke Skywalker.

This weekend, I'd much rather be 2 hours early than 30 seconds late.

Ok, Ok. So I could not find a ton-ton.

But I DID, along with many others, huddle around the exhaust of the generator powered lighting units on the way to the Marathon start..............

At least it was somethin'.................

Well I did it. As much as I wanted to bail, I did it! I got my happy butt on a monorail at 4am and was there in plenty of time to freeze. That was BRUTAL! Absolutely BRUTAL!!!

I stayed at the Poly. I got on the monorail around 4:30-4:45 both mornings. I won't say that I recommend this for those considering it in the future but I had no problems getting to the start line on time. There were quite a few of us going that late. I like playing with fire. ;) (JK!)
