:cheer2: Hello everyone :thumbsup2

We are doing MNSSHP on september 14th and are hoping to dress up as Captain Jack Sparrow and Elisabeth Swan (new pirate version).

However we are unsure if we should as it is only the middle of september and halloween is 1 and 1/2 months away :confused3

So my questions are:

1) should we do it?

2) are you dressing up? (if so what as?)

3) which night do you go?

Cheers for any help with this everyone :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Go for it:) We went to MNSSHP back in 2003 and felt out of place as we did not dress up! The atmosphere is great and it's so much better than MVMCP!

Remember to post some pics of your costumes if you do decided to dress up!;)

we went in 2004 and we all dressed up! it was great to see everyone else dressed up as well, some great costumes there!
we are going again this year, dressing up again and going on th 28t October!

We are going to MNSSHP on 30th Sep.

Originally only DS was going to dress up but now both DH and I are going to.:thumbsup2

we are going on the 14th as well :thumbsup2 dh is capt hook with ds as peter pan and me and dd are going as cinderella :woohoo:

ive ordered mine and dh's costume from ebay and im hoping it fits ;)

We will be there also on Sept 14th for the halloween party! Only one problem. We are having dinner at Narcoosse's before we come over to the party. I'm not sure what we will be wearing to dinner (since it is a signature dining). I'd rather not go back to POP and get changed and loose that time. Any ideas?

if you are already at the MK that day you could rent a locker and put your costumes in there to change in to after your meal :)

I would just say be warned!!
We stayed at the Poly last year and I had told my family we HAD to dress up, EVERYONE does!
When we trotted out of our hotel room Husband was in a john Belushi style toga outfit, sister was dressed as Cruella,Bro in law as Magnum PI, kids in power rangers and lightening mq queen, and me and my mum wore devil tails and horns - we were quite a sight!! Got plenty of stares as we walked through hotel!
As we approached the monorail queue we expected to meet up with lots of other dressed up people, but no! - OK I thought, wait till we get on the monorail.... but No!! (one boy with a goofy hat?). I was getting serious daggers from all of my family and comments through gritted teeth like "its ok for you, you're not in a bloody toga" :rolleyes1
When we filtered out of the monorail queue and joined the masses leading up to the entrance of Magic Kingdom, there were a few kids dressed up, but no one like us motly crew!! Then, thank the heavens, my salvation, a HUGE (and I'm not over exagerating here she was HUGE) woman in a green spandex Tinkerbell costume:scared1: .... thats when I knew my family would not kill me!!!
Once we were inside, we did see other families dressed up, but I would say on the whole it was more kids, and when I go again this year I will probably just do what I did last year, accessorise rather than totally dress up.
Of course its up to individual tho, some people don't mind being the centre of attention, Id rather not.

We're going on Oct 23rd:

Me - Aladdin
DW - Jasmine
DD - Ghostly Lady ......until she changes her mind again.

thats the total opposite of what we found last time....loads of people dressed up and i was wishing i had :confused3
that was october tho :)

DD and I are going on October 8th and not sure about whether to dress up or not. TBH we don't want to use up valuable luggage space so I'm thinking I might just opt for the middle ground and wear my Pirates Night outfit from the September DCL cruise. It's semi-dressing up so I guess I'll feel like I'm making an effort. And as for DD - she's on her own... ;)

We found that each time we have been and havent dressed up that we have been in the minority! But that has always been October though.

We went twice last October - first time we all dressed up:

DMum - witch
DDad - Ozzy Osbourne
DD5 - Cinderella in Rags
DH - Jack Skellington
Me - Sally (with white face paint and everything!)

FYI - we had dinner at 1900 Park Fare first - only DD was dressed up for this, we took our stuff in a rucksack and changed as soon as we got into the park - just stored our bag in the lockers til the end of the Party.

Loved it!:goodvibes

Second time was a "girls only" night and DD5 had on her Little Mermaid dress, crown, etc.

My tip - go with whatever you guys feel comfortable with.;)

2= we have been ... the very 1st MNSSHP I did was in 2003 and I was as Mrs Pots!!! it was super hot but had so much fun since everybody were out and about with the princesses and I I was the only one that time so I kinda got extra candies and was even ask to walk with the parade at the end !! Kids were hugging me and was posing for pics left and right
