I noticed a lot of people are from the great Pacific Northwest and wondering how many there are of us. I'm from Orting, about 5 minutes from Puyallup.:woohoo:

I grew up in Yakima and if I had I had it my way I woulds still be a Washingtonian.

I cuurently reside in Kennewick when I am not working out of the US.

We're from Spokane.:thumbsup2

We've lived here all our lives and love it! (Except for 2 years, 2002 & 2003, we lived in Glendale Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. We loved our neighbors but hated the desert. Everything there was taupe.:confused3 We couldn't take it and had to get back to green grass, green trees, and 4 seasons. The best thing about living there was it was only a 5 hour drive to DL. It sure saved on airfare!:thumbsup2 )

we're just north of Seattle!

Planning a December trip at the moment...our family's first holiday visit!!:cool1:

We live in Tacoma. I've been here, off and on, since I was 17 and came here for college. DH was born in Issaquah.

I'd actually be happy just about anywhere, but I surely would miss having Rainier right over there, waiting for little dayhikes. :)

We don't live in WA, but close. We live in The Dalles, on the Oregon side of the Columbia River.

We live in Auburn, about 30 miles south of Seattle...home of the great Supermall and not much else...:rotfl2:

I was born in Longview, but grew up in Auburn. I well remember when this used to be a little Farming community...now it's just one big traffic jam from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. :rotfl:

I don't know where eveyone is going, but I don't venture out of my house during those hours unless I absolutely have to. :rotfl:

Ravensdale here....right at the foothills of the Cascades.....40 miles southeast of Seattle.

Grew up about 2 miles from Disneyland. Moved to Washington 15 years ago...and love it!

We live in Arizona now but, we spent the first few years of married life in Redmond. DH's extended family still lives there so we visit quite often. DH grew up in Issaquah. I grew up further North and West.

I'm from Tacoma and I hate it here!:headache: To much traffic, people who can't drive when there is a fender bender on the side of the road. must we all stop and look!!!! I grew up in Puyallup and back then there weren't so many dang people here. It's just way to CROWDED HERE!!!!:crowded: My husband and I are going to be moving to Spokane, Wa. We plan on building a house and I will be finishing up my Master's in teaching at Eastern. We have lots of friends and family over there. So, I really miss it!!! It's so much more calm over there and only takes you about 15 minutes to get from one side of the town to the other side. where here it takes almost an hour and 20 minutes to get from Tacoma to Southcenter with traffic. I'm just so sick of the traffic! Not to mention the housing is very expensive here. I'm just not a city kind of gal!

SO TRUE!!!!!

I don't know about all of you other Washingtonians, but BRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I'm freezing my butt off! (If only that were literally!):lmao:

What is up with this cold weather?!?!

It's beautiful out Ravensdale way. I sometimes take a drive out on, what I call, the Green River Road, past Neely Mansion, Flaming Geyser Park, the Green River Gorge and usually end up in the Ravensdale area.

I love it here too. Where else can one play in the Puget Sound, on Mount Rainier, in the Pacific Ocean, the Rain Forest and the Desert all in the same weekend if you want to?

Hi! Have you ever been to the restaurant BitterSweet? We have a gift certificate, and are trying to figure out if it's worth the drive (for some reason Kent feels a million miles away).

My parents live in Kent, and Bittersweet is the one place I always want to go to. I love love their bread pudding. It's also on a cute little street with a couple of cute little shops around it. Call ahead of time for times, for some reason I'm remembering odd hours.

And Ravensdale, such a beautiful area. I actually work in Maple Valley. I'm wanting to try to be more active in that area, finding resteraunts and stores that are local...so if you have any suggestions, let me know! I love the Black Diamond Bakery, Tasty Chef, and Rooters ...any other ideas?
