How many musical instruments do you have in your home?

My 25 year old still lives at home and he was gone for the evening, just walked in the house and I was reminded of this thread as he walked in with yet another guitar.

We have a lot of things left over from the kids. A small electronic keyboard that I use now when practicing my choir pieces at home, a tin whistle, a triangle, a recorder or two, harmonica, DH has a guitar somewhere, an ocarina, tambourine, several other percussion type things that I haven't looked at in years, might have to drag them out for the grandson. Oh, and a thumb piano or two.

Maybe 3 guitars I believe. My step-daughter is the only one who knows how to play them. I know she has two guitars herself. I tried to learn guitar off and on for a long time and never experienced any success.

I have my mother's piano, which I learned on when I was a kid. My dad bought my son an acoustic guitar years ago. During the pandemic, DS taught himself how to play it with youtube videos. He asked for an electric guitar for Christmas and is sounding great so far. My dad also bought my daughter an acoustic guitar, but I seriously doubt she'll ever take that plunge.

I do have an ocarina from tHE Legend of Zelda but it is more for show (though it can be played). That's it though.

My son has built one bass guitar from blocks of wood and he is now using up the wood that was left and building and electric guitar. He has expressed that he’d love to have a shop at his house when he gets older to build guitars as a side job.
