In your family, how many of you are there? Sorry, but pets don't count :rotfl:

There are four of us in my family. My wife and I, and my two rugrats

To me my "immediate" family includes my siblings, their spouses and my nieces...and my dad who lives with us...so there are 10 of us.

Complicated question...growing up, 3. Myself and my parents. Unless you counted my grandparents, who were very involved in my life.

Now...2. My husband and me. If you cound like the PP, 4 including my parents, 11 if you include his and his siblings/spouses/nephews.

Birth family? Married family?

Birth family, there are 6...mom, dad, me, 2 sisters and a brother.

Married family, ummm, I'm not married. So I would say there's just 2. My daughter and I. :)

My immediate family consists of me, dh, ds15, dd11, dd3 and my mother who lives with us.

3 in my house.

Immediate to me means blood.......7 siblings, 2 parents, 17 nieces & nephews and 1 DS...27 plus DH so...28 right now. But I think usually means who live in your house plus parents.

I don't think people count if they can be removed by divorce. (hey it's just my opinion)

Gworing up I considered my immediate family my parents and my siblings - 5

Now I consider it me, DH and my daugthers - 4

Me, DH, and our 5 children. When I was growing up, it was me, my sister, and parents, but when I got married, my sense of MY family changed. I see my parents daily, but my immediate family consists of the 7 of us.

traditionally Immediate family would mean those living in your household (usually mom, dad, and children). Your extended family would include cousins, uncles, in-laws, etc...
BUT, since we are on the dis, and we aren't too worried about being formal, feel free to count whoever you want! :thumbsup2

I counted myself, DH, and the three kidlets... but it is interesting what is considered immediate family to different people.

2.5 for a few more months! DH, myself, and the baby

We have five- me DH DD9 DS6 DS4, and we are still hoping for cheaper onsite rooms for our wild family! Someday! :pixiedust:

So my Dad would not count as my immediate family? I guess I have a different definition. I found this qestion hard to answer for such a simple question. I would say 11, my immediate family in my mom/step dads house and my immediate family in my dad/step moms house which includes blood siblings, half siblings and step siblings. Immediate family is hard to define these days- I like the "count who you want" plan.:lmao:

Depends how you look at it-

My nuclear family growing up, there were 8 of us- 4 girls, 2 boys, and parents. Still very tight-knit- my Dad is flying in this weekend for one of my Master's swim meets.

Now that I'm married, there's 2 of us. Although I consider us a family (obviously!), I still fall back on my nuclear family since we don't yet have anything buy furbabies. I think once we have a two-legged baby, I will be more likely to say, "There are three of us," for polls like this.
