How many inflatables are too many?

I'm sorry if the Christmas cheer on my lawn has offended any of you, and I guess I'm in the minority on this thread but I like inflatable decorations.

agnes!

Then we shall unite!:goodvibes I like them as well and I can't lie but I love the one that is the nativity! Sorry but I do!:rolleyes1

Yeah, one inflatable is one too many. Personally, I think they are tacky.

Ooohhh, pretty.

:lmao: Wonder what their neighbors said about them to make them do that! That is awesome!

Oh and I live in a townhome and for the life of me cant figure out where I would put 2 inflatables yet alone 20  I also refuse to put them on my roof. One would be okay... but anything over that would really be pushing it..

I stopped by a friend's house last night after dinner. He's been hard at work decorating his house and lawn for the upcoming holiday season. He lives in a neighborhood where the front lawns are very small, maybe 10 feet from house to sidewalk and the houses are close together.

He had ten huge holiday inflatables in his front yard. There was literally no room to walk between them, and their front door was completely blocked by a giant air-filled snowglobe.

So, what do you think - was that overkill?

Do you live in South Jersey per chance?

There is a hosue about 3 blocks from us, who does that every year.

THere are about 6-7 houses in a row, all small houses with small lawn, who go nuts with inflatables.

The guy with the most inflatables, also has his backyard filled with inflatables

It is wild :rotfl:

I agree with one. I hate those things. They are the tackiest decoration I've ever seen. My neighbor has a yard full of them right across the street from us. Last count was 25 and growing. She gets the biggest ones she can find. There is a santa on a motorcycle, moving merry go round, snowglobe, and more. What is worse is that during the day she doesn't inflate them so it looks like garbage strewn all over her yard. All she needs is a sofa on her porch and a pitbull tied to the railing to complete the redneck effect. Did I mention that her other lights all move to music? Queue the banjos. Oh yea. Lovely.

Lol, my kids would think that yard was awesome! I HAVE the 8' rotating merry go round (Big Lots $30- got my mama one too :)) & about 10 light up animated non-blow ups...and my lights are musical blinkies...... I really do like the see saw one at Big Lots. As a kid, we did have a sofa on the screened porch & 2 pitbulls, but I would have traded both for some inflatables though dogs & inflatables don't go well together- love them!

For us, one is too many.

We have a house in town like that...But I sorta like the "tackier" and 'Gawdy" side of Christmas Decorations!:lmao:

Me too! We have two. We are on a huge corner lot with one in the front and one on the side.

My young children love them, and that is all that matters to me!:)

We play the "point for me" game in the car with the inflatables. Whoever spots it first says (you guessed it) "Point for Me!". It's getting crazy trying to play that game now, some of the yards really do have them in the double digits. I like them, though. Some of them are really cool. I don't want one for myself, because I've heard about them being slashed and/or stolen, but I don't mind them in other people's yards.

Sorry you're offened by them but some of us love them and the kids go crazy for them. Yup we have 'em alot of them and we add 1 to 2 more every year.

Personally one is too many for me. I don't find them cute or fun to see. To each their own though but I don't like them at all.

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Hysterical.

Seriously though we do have one inflatable in our yard, a polar bear. But it looks okay with our Christmas lights and the kids love it. I think that is enough though. I can't imagine 20 of them :scared1: .

One is too many. I'm sorry I just don't like those things.

How ever many my neighbor has. We have very small yards and I think he has a half dozen. He does the same thing at halloween. No one ever looks at our house, which is modestly (and tastefully, at least I think so!) decorated for the holidays. Heck at halloween, kids skip our house to run up to see theirs, and we give out full size candy bars!!!!

I'm not offended at all by them. I even think some of them are cute and/or funny. I just think putting so many of them that they touch each other and block the front door is going a little overboard. :)

I only have one little santa. He is in my sled so during the day when he is blown up you can't see him. If I didn't have the sled I wouldn't have any.
