We are a party of 6 adults with 1 ECV. Can all 6 in the party board the bus, etc. with the adult using the ECV or do they need to wait in line?

On our last trip, like you, we had 6 adults, 1 of whom had an ECV. We assumed that only one person could board with the person who had the ECV, so just DH came with me. However, the bus driver stuck his head out and called the other 4 in our party, who were standing in line, and motioned them to come in the back door with me. Same happened every time we got on the bus. Since then we've only traveled as a couple, but it will be interesting to see in February, our next trip with 6 people total.

You aren't allowed on the ramp in the back, unless you need to help. You stand around near the ECV, the driver loads the ECV(s), they load you through the front. He will direct you to cut the line, if you need to, if the others are crowding.

I haven't seen a limit on the number of people, though I guess I could imagine it happening. 6 should be no problem.

Edit: I am assuming the old style Disney transport buses. They are using some new stuff now here and there, including some non-accessible Mears buses, and some buses like the old ME.

Signs posted at the resort bus stops say 5 guests may accompany the guest using the wheelchair or ECV.
In our experience, after loading our daughter’s wheelchair, the driver always has invited the rest of our group to board thru the back door.
Guests should only board thru the back door if invited to by the driver.

They have always loaded our entire part (up to 5 plus the ECV through the back door.

It can vary, but most times the driver will wave me up the ramp after DH has rolled his powerchair into the bus. Some allow me to walk up the ramp right behind DH's chair, others ask me to wait at the bottom until his chair is inside the bus.

I stand next to his chair in the pavement square where an ECV waits so that the driver can easily see we're together.
