How many in cabana

I know the DC website says 6 people per cabana. How strictly is this enforced? We are a group of 11 going, but I imagine the teenagers will be busy all day and just us "old folks" will want to be in the cabana, so we would be ok with the 6. But would it be ok for the others to stop by occasionally?

I haven't been to DC. But a sister park, Water Country USA here in Va enforces it by wristbands. They issue exactly how many wristbands for the number of people in your party, up to max # allowed. You have to enter through a checkpoint and show your band every time. Now, something I did notice that is a bit of a loophole, but would still cost some $: the beach chairs that can also be reserved are within the gated checkpoint area. So in theory, you could max out the cabana, and then buy admission to the beach chairs, then it would be very easy here to mingle in and out of the cabana.
