How many houses/places have you lived?

I'm in my mid 40's. NOT a military brat, but had a dad who worked in an industry that had him going to different locations. Counting college, I have lived:

3 years in IL- 2 different houses
3 years in WI- 1 house
6 months in OH- 1 townhouse
14 months in Puerto Rico- 2 different houses
15 months in WI- 1 house
9 years in GA- 1 townhouse, 1 house
4 years in college in GA- 3 different places (dorm, sorority house, apartment)
4 years back in GA- 3 different apartmants
18 months in FL- 1 townhouse
5 years in AL- 1 apartmant, 1 townhouse, 1 house
2 years in OH- 1 apartment, 1 house
and, almost 10 years in NC- 1 house.

Total- 21- an avg of almost one new place every 2 years of my life.

guess I'm pretty stagnant/boring...if college apartments count, 8 places in my 47 years, all within 25 miles of each other except for the college apartmentall in Illinois....uggghhh, it's painful to see that in text..the one thing I SWORE I would do was to get outta dodge,

3 houses as a child, 3 as an adult. All but one have been in Massachusetts, that one was Naperville, IL where I'll always remember my first boyfriend and the kiss in the cornfield at the end of our road ... I was 3

Not much! I stayed in the same city all my life, we just moved around to different neighborhoods. I have lived in 4 residences in all.

Let's see...

In England I lived in two houses with my parents in Stratford Upon Avon, one college dormroom and two other houses at college in Liverpool.

In Florida I've lived in two apartments and now our new house.

So eight places in two countries, one state, and I'm 24.

LOL----well compared to me you are the life of the party LOL....I can not imagine moving as much as some people on here! I grew up in the house I live in now-I moved out to an apartment for a few years then my dad died and I came back to the house I grew up in and am raising my daughter in this house. She says she wants to raise her kids here LOL. I really don't believe in making a child change schools from K-12 if possible so even though I am retiring when she is in 8th grade I will not be moving (if I even do) until she is out of high school.

I have only ever lived in 1 house my whole life. I am 25 and stayed at home to help my parents out financially when my dad got sick. I can't imagine moving any time soon as I am finishing up my college degree and my mom is not ready to be alone yet. I also plan on taking over the house one day. My mom loves the idea, as did my dad before he passed.

I lived in a house until I was 17
I have my own apartment now.

2 houses, 1 apartment (houses in VA [my parent's have lived in the same house in Yorktown all of my life], apartment in OH). Sometimes I miss that apartment (not the guy that was living in it though ).

Let me think...

I have lived in CA, CT, WA, OR, TX & HI. I have live in 17different house/apartment.

My Dad was in the military so we moved to 4 different states ...6 houses.

Then I lived on my one in an apt (same state) in then moved into a house with my sister.

When I got married and moved to a new state (west coast), where we lived in a town house and then bought a house. One year later DH jobs has us move to a new state, apartment & house. Two years later they moved us back; apartment & bought house. 4 years later they moved us again (to the east coast); bought a house. Finally,they moved us BACK to California ; bought a small house, until we found the perfect house...which we are in now.

Im 37 and have lived in 4 houses. 2 with my parents and 2 since i left home ..... and all within a stonesthrow of each other!!

I will probably be in this house til i die .... UNLESS i can find a way to get a green card
