I've never done a split stay but how long does it take luggage services to deliver my bags to the next hotel? I plan on dropping things off at 9 am at Coronado Springs and they are going to AOA.

They deliver around 3pm. It doesn't matter what resorts are involved.

We've been told luggage should arrive between 1-3 pm. Of course, that is just a guideline and sometimes it arrives earlier, but could also arrive later depending on how busy the resorts are.

Do they deliver it to your room our leave a message for you to call when you want it? If they just bring it to your room do you have to be there waiting for it? We've done this but it's been a few yrs and I don't remember!

We had to call and be there last week for them to deliver. It did not arrive until 3:00.

I've had it take over ten hours when just changing rooms in a resort. Don't expect to see your luggage at any particular time that day. Anything you'll need later in the day, take with you.

We've done split stays on three different occasions, and each time we made sure that if we needed something during the day from our luggage that we took it with us. We had a rental car so we were able to have it with us in the car. Each time we also arrived back at our hotel between 4 and 5 in the afternoon, and never had an issue with our luggage not being ready to be brought up to our room. You will have to call bell services once you get back to your room. They won't just bring it up for you during the day.

I have had luggage delivered on a split stay 4 or 5 times and maybe I have been lucky but it has always been at the new resort when we checked in - 4 to 5pm.ish.

You have to either visit bell services and get the bags or request that they be delivered to your room - tipped either way! Unlike DME when your bags are delivered to your room "magically" :)

You need to assume 3 pm at the earliest. After you check in and get to the new room (so after 3 pm), call bell services and like a pp said, they can either bring it up to you or you can get it yourself from bell services.

I've done this a few times. They've typically told me it would be 3pm before my luggage was available at my new resort, but I've had mixed experience with that. Once it was available at 1pm, so I felt lucky; but on another trip it was 5pm before it arrived. I guess my advice is to not make any hard assumptions other than it should be available by early evening.

Also, you do have to call or stop by bell services to request your luggage be delivered and be in your room to have it delivered (unfortunately, this is not like DME where it magically shows up... a lesson I learned the hard way at 1 am the first time I had luggage transferred).
