club like the WDCC or another Disneyana Collectors club? Are these good? I have thought about joining the WDCC.

We've belonged to the WDCC since the very beginning. It's hard to believe they've been in existence 10 years. We don't buy many of the pieces, but really enjoy the magazines that come with membership. The sculpture you get with membership is usually pretty nice ( OK-there were a few exceptions!) and IMHO, worth the money. Besides...you get a PIN! :)

Wow.....have missed you Chip and Dale!
I have thought about joining also...mostly a money issue....but I am thinking seriously about it. Do you they have a website with info on it?

Yea is there a web site for wdcc?

I've belonged to the WDCC since the beginning, too. On the membership card, they list a web address of www.disneyartclassics.com. The phone number is 1-800-932-5749. The membership sculptures you get whey you join and renew are usually pretty nice, although there have been some clunkers over the years. Some of the pieces that are offered only to members are also very nice. The one they have out this year of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse is kind of spooky because it really does look like him. The Scar piece in the villains series is nice, too. I think it's worth the membership fee each year.

Also a WDCC member since a certain pin person turned me on to it. I have bought a few pieces and never regretted it. Especially since these pieces are no longer seen in the local TDS.

I belonged to the WDCC until my membership ran out. I want to do it this year (Snow White is the membership piece) but probably can't for a while. I also like the magazine you get with it. I just need to get back into the swing of Disney again, it's been a while!

JudySue and I have belonged to NFFC for over ten years. Although "National" is in the title, they have chapters in Australia and Canada. There is a very active chapter in Orlando (called the World Chapter) and the chapter has meetings about every two months. We also belong to the Baltimore chapter, which covers MD, DE, DC and VA. Normally money raised goes to support child-related charities, such as Give Kids the World. I know the World Chapter meetings normally have at least 50 people, with some Disney artists and speakers. The Chapter At The Park (in Anaheim) is also very large. The organization has a six day Annual Convention, the week of July 17 each year in Anaheim. The annual membership is $24.00 for a family; each chapter sets its own dues. There is a regular newslertter from NFFC, and most local chapters also have a newsletter. Check out at www.nffc.org for more information.

since 1993. Just a note that there is a 50% mark up on each figure. If you can find an independent dealer (non Disney) in your area you can usually get a discount. I usually get 25% off the retail of most (95%) figures. This is one reason why Disney does't promote independent dealers and frowns upon any discounts given by them. My dealer got around it by having you join a collector club (all collectibles) at their store for $10 a year.

I joined WDCC. I have not been disappointed yet. The sculptures are very nice, and then there is THE PIN :D
