I don't remember but, how many ECV's can fit onto one WDW bus at a time? I thought that it was 2 but then I'm reading just one. :confused3
Thanks in advance.

I believe most buses are configured to take 2 ECV's, but there may be a bus model that can only take one. We just got back and at least twice there were two ECVs loaded on the bus with us.

You might try asking this quesion on the DISability board as well as here.

Most of the buses have two spots for wheelchairs/ECVs. There are a few brand new buses that have 3 tie down spots.

The two different types of buses we road in June could handle two.

We did have a case at the end of the night at Epcot where we were for waiting the bus to CBR after Illuminations and there was an older couple on ECV's in line. The driver informed them she could only take one ECV on her bus. I'm assuming it was because there were a large number of people waiting for buses and each ECV takes up 3 seats on the bus. I don't know if that's the norm but you may run into a situation like that if you have more then one in your party.

All Disney busses can handle at least 2 ECVs or standard wheel chairs. If for some reason the tie downs are broken or missing, or the seats wont lock in the up position, the bus may have a reduced capacity. In some cases, the bus may not be able to handle any.In that case, the handicapped sticker is pulled from the bus until the issue is resolved.
There are some of the new busses, that may be able to handle 3.Theres was also 2 busses, that could handle 5, but they are held for large groups traveling together. If they are still on property. Those 2 busses, 2716 and 2717, are probably almost 30 years old, but had really low mileage on them. The other busses in that same series, have over a million and most have been retired.

Those buses were retired a long time ago. The current fleet: All RTS buses (2770-2780, 4701-4814) will handle 2 but the spaces are small, the large ECV's will reduce capacity to 1. These are lift type buses. 4815 is designed with 4 tie downs and a low floor. It is in regular service but can be "scheduled" for large groups by making arrangements with Disney Transport 407-WDW-RIDE All other buses will have 2 tiedowns and low floors. Now there are about 3-5 new Gilligs (4988 and up) that have 3 tie downs.
