how many days is the average stay at disney? im going for 5 nights/6 days.and im thinking it might not be long enough

I think it depends a lot on how far you have to travel to get there, how often you visit, and how long your family can happily co-habitate in a hotel! ;)

We live a 6-hour drive away, plan on going every year or so, and have a toddler who can only take so many days of over-stimulation so our trips are shorter than average, I think.

We normally stay for about 6 days/5 nights and its a great time.

This will be our first time as a family with my parents. We are staying 9 nights at the Poly. :banana:

DH::yes::
Me:teacher:
DS 10:cool2:
DS 7pirate:
DD 5princess:

Our first visit was 5 days at the parks, 5 nights. Then we moved up to 6 days/5 nights. Our next trip is for 7 days/6 nights. :banana: I don't think my husband could do the 9 or more though so we may have hit the limit.

Our favorite seems to be 8 nights/9 days. It gives us plenty of time, but, it's never really enough time, if that makes sense.

We drive 14-15 hours to get there.

We average 10 days sometimes 14, 10 never seems to be enough, 14 is just enough time to make you never want to go home.:rotfl:

The longer the better for us- Im still trying to figure out how to stay for a MONTH!!!!! We usually go for 7-8 nights, but this Jan we are booked for our first 10 night stay!!!!!!!!! Cant wait!!!!!!

We typically go 1-2 nights, but we live about 3.5 hours away and we have young kids...so for us, it's just enough time and then we come back later in the year.

Well, we have been staying for 8 days/7 nights but now that we have the dvc, we try to save our points by doing 6days/5 nights at least twice a year! It truly never is enough time!

I voted 8 days/7 nights because that is what our last trip was and what the upcoming one will be. Truly it is because of the great airfare we have found in our area. I would love to stay even longer, but this is the max we can do at this time. As our kids get older, the trips will probably become shorter because we will have to pull them out of school due to DH's job- no travel in the summer for us!

Finally someone else that shares our dilemma! Due to my DH's job, we cannot travel in the summer either. My DD (7) and DS (4) don't see the big deal now but, will as they get older Im sure they will. I would love to be able to take seven days in the summer.

My apologies in advance for hijacking the op's thread.:flower3:
