do you take a year and how much do you budget for each trip? Do you take other trips other than Disney the same year?

We (2 adults 1jr and 1 child) usually do Disney once a year, probably spend $1500 and stay off property. However this year we camped at Fort Wilderness for 10 days and spent about $3500. We usually do a long weekend at the beach and then maybe a long weekend to Gatlinburg and then do several weekend camping trips. Just curious as to how many times people do Disney in a year. Do you ever get tired of it?

We do Disney every other year and spend $5000-$6000. We always stay at the Poly and do the DxDDP. I really, really want to get DVC, I think financially we will save $$ in the long run plus we would be able to go more often.

We have went twice in the last 3 years and have one scheduled in March. We spend @8000-10,000 for @ 10-12 days at deluxe with tickets and deluxe dining

Since having our DD6, this will be our third trip. My husband says, "Well we might as well do it while she's young. This will be it for a long time." That is until I get the bug, which is every year. Had my mom not been sick last year, we may have done it then.

However, I've been a SAHM since giving birth until this past year when I began a photography business. I work my own hours. My husband gets 4 weeks a year off for vacation. He's been with the same company for 13 years. We go to the Myrtle Beach one week every July with his mom, his brother and his niece. We went skiing this past February in Colorado. We went to Indian Rocks Beach near Tampa over Spring Break. We're doing Disney in December. Next June, we're going to visit one of my best friends in Germany and spending two weeks going around there. My friend will watch my daughter for a long weekend while my husband and I travel to Prague. I'm really looking forward to that.

We've taken three weeks (two for my husband, I stayed one by myself in Italy) and traveled from Amsterdam to Paris to Montreux, Switz to Milan then to Florence. Fabulous trip. We went to Scotland on our honeymoon 12 years ago. I really want to go back there. I miss it. I think we're doing a short trip sometime and hopping over to Dublin probably next Fall. We considered going through Dublin on the way to Germany. We'll see. :)

We've only done the Caribbean once and that was on our 10th wedding anniversary. We went to Riviera Maya, Mexico. Quite beautiful. I fell in love there... with Reposado. (tequila)

We squeeze in Disney because it's a guaranteed good time for everyone. There are no worries of boredom or not making everyone happy. However, my daughter is very anxious to see Neuchwanstein Castle in Germany. I think I spelled it right. Anyway.. it's supposedly what Walt modeled the Disneyland castle after, I believe. :)

I love traveling. I hate flying. I take meds before every flight. I won't slow down, though.

We try to do it once a year and spend around $3000 for 3 Disney adults, we stay at CBR for 8-10 days. Other then that, we take bus tours for 1-2 days during the summer to go the near attractions around here like Boston, Niagara, and so on.

We do about 1-2 trips a year and have a budget of about $6000/year for travel right now. The kids are little so that's all we do for travel at the time being- it's been wonderful!

We also have a regular middle class income, DH is a teacher and I'm a RN- so we don't make tons of money!

We want to start traveling around our country. Lots of cool things we haven't seen before. However, we also want to travel to Asia. I really want to go back to Korea. I haven't been since I was 3 years old, and I was born in Seoul.

Back to Disney... if my husband didn't have as much vacation time, we'd probably do Disney every other year and blow it out. We'd opt for the Deluxe and get views of the castle every night. However, we opt for the lower cost stay because he does get all that time off and we know that our vacation fund only goes so far. We put a lot into our vacation fund because it's really important to who we are and our livelyhood to be able to travel. My parents died at a pretty early age, and so I'm faced with my own mortality at times. I don't want to wait to do anything. Ya never know. I do know that we are fortunate at this point in our lives, and that that also could change without notice. I'm going to try and squeeze every bit of life out!

We only do one vacation trip a year. This is our first time doing Disney as an actual vacation trip (we live less than 2 hours away so usually just drive home and do one day at a park). We were going to head north for fall but didn't want to spend that much time in the car with a little baby who nurses. We usually spend around $1k on our trip but managed the 3 day Disney trip for less with FL resident package. We both take more time off during the year but we hang out at home.

We do DisneyWorld once a year and our new tradition, going to Disneyland once a year as well. We have DVC, but besides the room, we spend about $3000 per trip, that includes airfare, DxDDP, souvenirs(we go a little souvenir crazy), tips, and tickets.

We have been every year since our oldest children were 3. Last year we went twice in April and Oct. & are returning this Dec. We usually stay 5 nights and spend around $4000-5000 on room, food, tickets, etc. We do not use the DDP.

As far as other travel, we have a beach house that we spend a good bit of time at especially in the summer. But our primary trips are to Disney. When all of the kids are a little older DH wants to start taking other trips to Yellow Stone, Grand Canyon, that sort of thing.

Looks like you'll arrive the day after us. Our first real Christmas trip, too. :goodvibes

We go to WDW every year. Once in Sept but most of the time in December. Its my Christmas present to myself every year! We have been lucky and are able to get some of the great deals. We normally stay 7 days at Carribean Beach and the Dining Plan. We drive and spend the night in Savannah, GA on our way down.

We do take weekend trips here and there. DH doesn't get a whole lot of vacation time because he owns his own business. The kids and I usually take trips to DC or spend long weekends with friends and family. This year I started back working after being at home for a few years so there wasn't much traveling. We enjoy that week at WDW too much to let it go!

This year my son will be home on his RnR from Afghanistan and he, my dil and my dgd will be with us. I can't wait!

We were Ap THIS year, so we went three times within 365 days.
Our prices vary from 2800 for Deluxe to 900 for Value and we always get the DDP, but we try to get FD, as well.

Ideally, I like to go once a year. I stay in a value and spend around $500, or a moderate and spend around $600 (this is per person for around 5 days). This is all I can afford per vacation (if I'm lucky and I can space them out properly, I can take two vacations a year, or one vacation and one competition per year).

Unfortunately, my BFF (who I like to go with the best since we are so alike in our disney-ness) wants to start only going once every other year so she can go new places on the off year. So I guess I'll go with the family on my off years to someplace different (though I do really prefer to go to familiar places, because its like coming home if you go somewhere you've been to off and on for most of your life....no stresses, its familiar and fun....yes, I do know I'm a little odd, lol).

Edited to add that I sure am glad I dont have to pay airfare! Wowzers at the numbers when airfare is included!!!

We go minimum one time a year. But lately I have been lucky and able to go every 6 months or so. We are 2 adults and when is all said and done its about 5000 dollars for everything flight, deluxe hotel, tickets with park hopper water park and more..we dont do dining plan ever but that price includes food and merchandise we buy at the parks too.

We have been going to WDW every other year and stay 10-12 days, stay deluxe, dining plan, park hopper with water parks, and have spent $6000-$8000 each time. I can't see going to such a vast place with so many things to do and only staying 4 or 5 days. Just not long enough for me! Of course, I would love to stay even longer if we could but we have jobs to get back to. We could go every year if we stayed moderate and less nights but we will not compromise! We love the Beach Club. It wouldn't be the same if we stayed any place else!

Well for 2009 I'm taking 3 Disney trips. But this year I hadn't been since 2006. I bought a seasonal pass so I plan to go several more times in 2010, but I'm a Florida Resident so it's only a 4 hour drive for me. The close proximity and the FL resident discounts makes my trips substantially cheaper than most people's.

I stay at Values so I budget a lot of my money towards food. Last April I paid for 2 adults to go for 5 nights and we spent $1750 on everything - gas, food, hotel, tickets, and souvenirs.

We're leaving on Friday for a 4 night stay and budgeting about $400 per person.

In December I'm going for 6 nights and budgeting $800 for myself.

Now these 2 upcoming trips I didn't factor in my ticket since I already paid for it - a FL Resident Seasonal Pass, which was like $255 after tax I think?

We usually stay 5 nights. We have school aged children and we don't want them to miss a lot of school. We do not like going in the summer so we take shorter trips. We know no matter how long we stay we wouldn't be able to do everything. We know we are returning the next year so we don't try to do it all. If we miss something in Dec. someone really wants to do, we'll say we can do that when we come back next Oct. We pick and choose what we want to do the most based on the time of year, crowd levels and what the children really want to do.

When all of the children are a little older we plan on doing a few longer trips as well.

2 6day trips each year & 1 3day weekend adults trip each year (DVC)

1st trip usually runs:
$700 airfare
$1200 annual passes
$500 food & spending money
2400 total

2nd trip usually runs
$700 airfare
$500 food & spending money
1200 total

Weekend "adults only" trip usually runs
$350 airfare
$250 food & spending money
600 total

So we average about $1400 per trip staying in Deluxe accomodations:thumbsup2

DVC is the BEST purchase I've ever made.

We go 3x's a year, Aug.,Dec.,and Feb/March. Aug. is free dining we spent under $3000 for 5 people, 8 nights.(This includes airfare). Dec. 5 people 5 nights = under $2500. Feb. aka the "big shaboozie" 5-6 people 16 nights = $5000-$6000 depending on if there's 5 or 6 of us. airfare included in all.
We go to NYC or Toronto once in a while, but most our fun $$$ goes to Disney! :)
