How many different types of pets have you owned?

We always had lots of dogs and cats while I was growing up. Since I've been out on my own, I've had countless cats and have two super tuxedo brothers right now.

DH likes dogs and DS has been asking for one for a while so I guess that soon we will be adding a dog. I hope that the cats behave themselves!

Officially... several fish, two parakeets, and two Shih Tzu (most at one time, though, was one parakeet and one Shih Tzu).

Since I've gotten married, I've added 4 kitties to that, 3 of which are still with us. I keep debating whether or not I want to add another dog to the list so that we have 4 pets. Right now, I'm leaning toward not, but we'll see.

Unofficially, I had a pet sparrow for about a week during the summer when some bratty kids shot its wing with a B-B gun We tried to nurse her back to health and teach her to fly again, but it just didn't work out. Last I heard, the kids took her home to try and raise her in captivity, but she didn't last long. Didn't surprise me with those kids

I've had lots of different animals
Budgies
Gerbils
Guinea Pigs
Ferrets
Cats
Turtles
Cats
Gold Fish
Tiger Barbs
Pleco
Guppies
Snails
I've cared for a rabbit and hamster as well.
The only thing I haven't had yet was a dog.

I currently have 2 cats, a guinea pig (which I took from someone that couldn't care for it) and a 5 inch Pleco (catfish)

Right now we have three dogs, but in my 35 years I've had:10 dogs, 5 cats, 5 birds, countless fish, a guinea pig, 3 hamsters, (dropper-fed a litter when the mother died ), 2 gerbils, a frog named Hoppy, and numerous strays. And I could never understand why my mom wouldn't let me keep a pony in my room!

I've had dogs growing up and a chinchilla. I've been raising different species of gerbils for close to ten years.

a boa constrictor
4 cats
17 hampsters (man those things die quick....)
4 Fish (I think I forgot to feed them when I was a kid)
1 horse
4 turtles- 2 are still in my backyard somewhere and the other two are in the lake in front of my parents house
3 camelions
10 frogs (my brother loved to collect them and see what they would do in a small bowl- talk about inhumane.)

I guess that's it.

1 dog Fortune (Fame's sister)

As a married person:

1 dog Nugget (DH's dog, Golden retriever, RIP)
1 cat Jasmine (RIP)
1 cat Baby (still with me, she's 10)
1 cat Miss Kitty (Baby's sister, also 10)

My kids want a dog so bad, but I don't see it happening until they are a little older.
