How many did you invite vs. how many came??

This is a spinoff of erinlovesmelvin's thread. I was interested in seeing how many people actually came after the invites went out. I'm inviting about 140-150 but I think only 50 will actually come.

Ruke of thumb i heard form a friend of mine that is a caterer for weddings is plan oon about 70% of the total invited if in the winter or fall. 60% if in the spring or summer. Destination weddings were people have to travel out of state plan on about 40-50%. Just a logitistics look at it. I am sure this varies depending on who is invited (all family, family and friends, etc.....)

I've heard that you get about 20% who cant make it....but I'm the exception to the rule...we sent out 106 invites and 98 people came...this included six out of the nine people i invited from Australia

According to my Disney planner, she said its higher than average attendance for weddings, to figure 80% will come. Which is running right about where we are (50 invitations went out to 102 people, 75 are coming)
