I am going to Disneyland at the very end of February/beginning of March. It will be me and my 22 year old daughter. She has never been to Disneyland but she has been to WDW probably 6 times. I've been to Disneyland before.

I was trying to figure out how many park days we will need. What do you think? Right now I am debating between 3 and 4 days with park hoppers.

Thanks in advance!

Everyone seems to have differing opinions on this - some feel 2 days is plenty when others feel 5 is not enough. When we visit we always go for about 8 nights and take two off park days and go the the park the other 5 days, as the most you can buy now is a 5 day PH. Right now though there are no fireworks or parades, so that cuts down on the time required to get it all done.

The good news is you can buy a 3 day PH and if you want to add a day you can upgrade it before the end of your 3rd day to a 4 day PH. If you are staying onsite you will have an early hour each day which will add to getting much more done and might not require as many days.

I've always kind of liked 3 full days in the park, plus a half day on either end arrival/ departure. The day you get there is more leisurely: explore, enjoy a meal, ride one or two rides that don't have a big wait, maybe watch fireworks, a show or a parade if they're available. Then you have 3 days to get in those things you want to do and see, including shows that you might need to get FastPasses for, and you don't have to rush to see it all. You can maybe even take a midday break back at your hotel. Then the last morning is, again, leisurely, doing your souvenir shopping, maybe breakfast or brunch, and re-riding one or two favorites.

But as the previous poster said, it's up to every individual. I'm almost tired of the 'Disney Happy' by day 5. Some people never get enough. Hope you have a great trip! Mom/daughter trips are the best!

I think with as much as is closed, plus the time of year, you could get away with 3-day hoppers if time or money are tight. It also depends -- does she want to ride absolutely everything, or focus on what's unique to Disneyland from WDW? Are you likely to spend all day of 3 days in the park or want a more leisurely pace?

I like the PP's idea about getting a 3-day hopper to start and deciding by the end of day 3. If you're basically done, go to the beach the next day. If the weather is iffy, or you've missed some entertainment or closed rides, you've got options.

I'll be there the same week with my BFF!

My personal opinion is more park time is always better but if time or money is an issue, I think you would be fine with 3-day hoppers since there are a fair amount of refurbs happening, no parades, and no fireworks. But there is also Food and Wine starting in DCA on Friday 03/02 and mini-Gay Days on Saturday 03/03 - so that weekend could see more crowds and you might want a little extra time to navigate the parks.

Have a great time!

You can see both parks in 4-5 with the shows easy. Right now with the parades and fireworks being down like the other poster said the time you will need to spend will decrease a bit unless there are events going on in the park then you should give yourself that extra day. You will always have your favourite things that you will want to see one more time before leaving so its nice to give yourself that extra time. Like the other posters said you can always get a 3-4 day hopper and upgrade your ticket by the end of the last day if you feel you need more time.
