How many days?

We are traveling to Disneyland in November. We have a hotel for 8 nights at the Best Western across the street. My question is how many days should we buy a tickets for? This is our very 1st visit to DL and with all the 60th Anniversary things going on, we don't want to miss anything. We have 2 disabled people in our party and this often take us longer to see things. The more I research, the more I want to see and do.

We also plan on going to Universal Studios for a day.

If you have the money for it than go for the 5 day hoppers and have a great time. You will be able to do everything at your own pace.

Generally it's thought that 3 days is the minimum for a first time "want to see as much as possible" type of trip. But if your worried about being a slower group and wanting more time to see and do as much as possible than 5 days will certainly help with that.

I have done 1, 3, and 5 days trips and the 5 day trip was my favorite. Allowed us to slow down a little a plan some things we may not have wanted to do otherwise because of time concerns.

You'll be tired at the end of the trip but it was all fun and so worth it IMO.

We visit once a year and always get a 5 day park hopper and there are still things that we don't get to do. Maybe if we didn't ride Buzz 10 times that would help lol. I do miss the days of the 7 day park hopper though.

I agree that a 5-day Hopper would be a good idea.

I don't know what your dates will be, but since Disneyland Resort's holiday season starts in mid-November (although we are not sure what the official start date will be this year, it's likely to be somewhere between Thurs., 11/12 and Thurs., 11/19), that will add another layer of things to see/do on top of the 60th anniversary offerings.

I have been doing 5 day hopper for the past couple trips. They make for stress free trip. I don't think a 5 day is that much more than the 3 day $235 vs $275 + $40 Hopper. So 5 days is only 40 more per adult.

5 day hopper for sure. We just got back and did 5 days and still missed a few things. Without the time pressure it makes for a more relaxing trip and you can repeat things you enjo and you don't feel presured to go "all day every day" and get burned out! The 5 days don't have to be consecutive days so you could do 3 days then take a rest day and/or a day at Universal, and then go back to Disney for the last two days.

5 days for sure. We used to get the 7 day which felt just about perfect, though now we get the 5 day and spend a half day in Downtown Disney shopping, and some time at one of the hotel pools.

This year we have already bought our 5 day tickets for November and are considering an extra 1 or 2 days, as it's been a few years and we're not really interested in going to Universal Studios or Knotts.

I have been leaning toward the 5 day PH. We arrive at LAX at noon on 11/14 and leave on 11/22. So we are hoping some Christmas stuff will also be happening.

The holidays should be in full swing -- if not by 11/14, then shortly thereafter (but probably by 11/14)! In fact, if things play out the same way they did last year and the year before, the 3 Disney hotels should even be decorated before you leave as well -- meaning the gingerbread house in the GCH lobby will begin to be assembled, and the various trees in all 3 hotels should be up. The hotels are usually the last to get the holiday treatment, but they have been getting their trees about 9 days before Thanksgiving for the last 2 years, and then the GCH gingerbread house was being assembled shortly after that last year.

5 day hopper vote here also! If my math is correct 8 days-5 day Disney=3 days. 3 days-1 day universal=2 days. If you feel you haven't seen and done it all and are not ready for the magic to end you could always buy another 2 day park hopper if its in the budget!

5 day park hopper or just a 5 day ticket. If mobility will be an issue then it might just be easier to go without the hopper. November is a great month to go to the parks. Have a great time.

For us, we usually do 3 days, well 2 1/2 really. We arrive around noon on Day 1 and then do 2 full days.

During a summer trip a few years ago, I think we did 5 or 6 days (most of them not full days) - we had APs that year. It was VERY hot & humid so we spent 3 -4 hours mid-afternoon away from the parks either in the hotel or at other non-Theme Park Attractions.
