We are thinking about moving our WDW trip to DL July of 13. How many days should we plan? I am leaning towards a 4 day park hopper, but am not sure about that. Is it too much or too little time? My girls will be 7 and almost 3 (35mos) at the time of the trip. I am thinking of staying at the Residence Inn Maingate. I am completely clueless when it comes to DL! TIA!

Now that Carsland is open, I'd say 4 is a great amount. With 3 might feel rushed, especially since you're going during the summer.

DL or WDW? Cali or Florida?

I'm assuming DL in Cali since your in this forum. 3 days has always been our minimum with 4 or 5 being better if its in the budget. but of course with Carsland we will see if that changes at all.

The longer the better! Especially with a little one, i would think you will need extra time. There is so much to see and do that even if you bought the 5 day pass there will still be lots that you will miss.

I agree. I was there for six days on my own in June, and I still didn't get everything done I wanted to (possibly because I had to ride space mountain quite a lot of times, and RSR!)

We are WDW vets who are heading over to DLR in June. We were contemplating whether to do 4 or 5 days in the parks, but since this is more than likely going to be a once in a lifetime trip, we decided on the 5 days. We do plan on seeing other places (San Diego, etc) too while there, but the majority of our trip is going to be focused on DLR. We can't wait :goodvibes.

We find 5 days works well for us. It gives us time to enjoy and explore both parks, and ride our favorites a few times.

I think 5 days personally. That way you feel like you can afford time-wise to go to the hotel and relax in-room or pool for a bit in afternoons knowing you still have plenty of park-time left

I agree that 4-5 days is right. Four days is now the minimum one needs to have a good, solid DLR visit. If you feel like this is a once-in-a-lifetime type trip, then four days will be fine but I suspect five will be a little better.

It also depends a bit on what else you plan to do in California. Is this trip only for DLR or will you go elsewhere? If elsewhere then there are so many options that are outside the SoCal theme parks. In such a case I might lean towards four days at DLR and have an extra day for something else.

We just went in October. We had a 5 day passes. I thought it was good. I wished I had one more for extra stuff, but I would do 5 days again.
