For a first timer to DL-how many days at the parks? We have three children
(5,11, 12) and will get the hoppers. I just do not know if we should get the 3, 4, or 5 day hoppers.....we want to go to the beach & downtown disney also. I do not want to run through the parks, but also do not want to waste $$ on tickets we do not need! TIA

If it were me I would go as many days as you can.You don't need a full day in Downtowm Disney. There just isn't that much-it isn't like WDW.We have kids with simular ages.DS12 DD10 and DD5.Our last trip we went for 7 days just to DLR.We can only go next time for 6 days and I'm bumbed.WE have annual passes that Saturdays are blocked out.I don't want to pay an extra $150.

There is always something to do so I would get 5 day passes-you wouldn't be sorry. This is a must especially if you are going in peak times.

good luck and have fun.

Yep definately a 5 day hopper.... My mom and I went for 6 days and at a leasurely pace we saw all we wanted to in 5 days and relaxed and just went back on our favorites for the 6th day. Even if you have kids I think that 5 days would be enough.

Definitely go with a 5 day!!! We go at least once a year and always go to the parks for at least 5 days.

The price difference as you move up a day is usually only $10-$20 - so there really is value too in adding the extra days.

I got a 5 day and spent a lot of leisure time in the parks. I loved the pace and taking it easy. I could have finished everything in 3-4 days instead, but I would have felt rushed. I definitely agree that Downtown Disney can be finished in 1-2 hours. Not much there at all.

Three days is a minimum, but it depends on what time of year you go. I have never gone for more than four days, and that was plenty for us.

If you go in high season, try to make your days on weekdays. If you are going during off-season, try to make your days overlap a weekend so you can catch some of the shows that only show weekends during off-season.

I wouldn't do 5. We've done it before and so have many people I've talked to, and by day 5 everyone was tired, mostly the kids. 4 seems to be pretty good. Especially on an off time. Even in heavy times we've gone three days and seen it all because we used Ridemax. It's up to you though.
