How many days?

Family of four; me, DH, DD (9 next year) and DD (6 next year) We plan on going to Universal, SW, Disovery Cove and WDW early next summer for about 2 weeks total. How many days at Univeral? Both will ride coasters, but no scary rides. What do you guys think?

Depends on the time of year but IOA can usually been done easily in a day,US takes a bit longer as things like shrek & T2 can take about 40 mins with the pre shows but again should be able to manage it in a day.If you have a spare day then it may be worth considering putting in an extra day to re-do everything

We just spent 8 days at Royal Pacific. We did the two parks for 5 days since we had the 2days/3 days free tickets. We did everything several times and got there when it opened and left around 2, 3 o'clock when we were hot and tired (and it got crowded). My kids are 11, 8 and 4. Ideally, it would be nice to have 2 days in each park, US and IOA, but I agree with the other poster that you can do IOA in one day if you push through it and select and US in 1-2. You can do it in 1 day if you don't do a lot or any shows. When we do a trip with different parks, we try to put some down days in between for pool, relaxation, etc. but also for a "just in case" day that we like a park that we really want to go back to.

Thanks! We may need more time than I thought then. My youngest isn't the type to push through a park (cranky with no nap and I mean CRANKY! )

We always do 1 day at each park and then 1 day for all the highlights at both parks. You may want 2 days at each park though if you are going in the summer when it is busy. We always have gone in Dec. and the park is dead and everything is a walk on.
