Hi everyone. I'm new to the board. We're thinking of going to WDW in November with our 5 yr old DD and 2 yr old DS. I definitely want to go to MK and the Studios. Do you think one full day will be enough to see MK? Or should we plan on going back for one more day?

I'd take atleast 2 days to do MK if it's your first trip... This will be our 6th trip and we are taking 3 full days there. Also depends a lot of the time of year you are going... busy busy time we are going durring spring break...

What part of November are you planning on going? We went last year and it was very crowded. We got there the Saturday before Thanksgiving and stayed until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. VERY busy week. If you are planning on going around the holidays, I would recommend multiple days at each park. AK was the least crowded for us, as we were there Thanksgiving Day and it is the park with the least restaurants. MK was crazy crowded and if you want to catch everything you defintely would need at least 2 days there! Good luck!

My dd and I went November 28th thru December 5 last year and both the resort (POFQ) and ALL the parks were empty.

This September's trip will be our 9th and we still will spend part of 2 days at MK.

:thumbsup2 I have hear that this is a great time to go as well. They say that after Thanksgiving when the crowds clear out until right before Christmas is great! We love the decor at Christmas and the Osbourne Lights were amazing! They also say the beginning of Oct and February are great times to go as well!

I was originally planning a 3 day trip with DN (4) but after a lot of research I've decided to go for 5 days. We plan to spend a day at Epcot, a day at AK, a day at MGM (Hollywood Studios) and two days at MK. We're going the 3rd week of October. By cutting out hopping (I think I'll be lucky to get through one park a day with a 4 y.o.) and the water park option it really wasn't that much more expensive to add the extra two days on to our trip. I'd rather take the extra days and take our time doing and seeing everything than feel like we missed something.

my family has only gone once so far in '06. We loved MK and I would recommend 2 days there to fully enjoy. Anbody been on the cruise yet? We're going this May.

Please don't skip AK! Your kids will love it and MO there is more for them to enjoy at AK than at the Studios.

I'd plan at least 2 days for MK. I agree that, especially given the ages of your children, they would likely enjoy AK quite a bit. If I was taking kids those ages and had to skip a park, I'd skip Studios before I'd skip AK.

Enjoy the planning, it's one of the best parts of the trip:).

I can't imagine less than 2 days at MK with little ones your ages. I am not an animal lover at all and yet with younger ones I have to concure, AK over DHS and I love DHS but there isn't as much for my little ones.

How many days do you have overall? That factors in. Our first few trips we commando toured the parks. I do not recommend this! Now we are older and have figured out it will all still be there when we go back the next time (well, most of the time but that's another story. . )

Thank you for all the responses and suggestions. I have a whole week to work with. It's interesting that some of you said to go to AK instead of DHS. I was really thinking of doing the opposite because she would really enjoy watching Disney Playhouse etc.

Also, we're thinking of going during the second week of November.

WE did 2.5 days at MK. DS's were 6.5 & 2.5. They wanted to go on rides again and again. I can't imagine going less then 2 days.
I would pick DHS vs. AK. My boys loved DHS because of the Paly & Dine breakfast, Star Tours, and lots of their favorite characters are there: Lighting McQueen, Power Rangers, and Monsters Inc.
They did not like AK as much...we did that in half a day.
Happy Planning!:)
