Hi all. I know this is a very difficult question to answer but please try.

I'm looking at visiting Disneyland as part of a four week holiday to America. How many days would we need in order to see the best of the two parks?

Thanks for the help :worship:

Atleast 3-4 full days. You will want to include character meals IMHO to get the most interaction. Also, get aquainted with the Fastpass system. Have fun!

I agree. 3 at least but 4 is better. When we do 3 we get to see our favorites, but there are always things we never got a chance to do. This also includes shopping time in park stores and DTD. If you do a character meal and/or wait in line to see characters in the park, that takes time too. Better go with 4. ;)

It really depends on what time of year you'll be there, who's in your party and how early you're willing to get up! We usually are able to do it in 2 1/2 days with our family, but we get up early and use a plan (I like "The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland" book's plan). We also try to stay at a hotel that has a free breakfast so we don't have to spend time out eating somewhere.

Going at uncrowded times, you can really do almost everything in 2 1/2 days. In more crowded times, you have to be willing to follow the plan, get up early and stay late, and use FastPass wisely.

Have fun!

We've done 3 full days plus 2 half-days, and that seemed perfect for us. Arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday (so we can catch fireworks if it's not a week where there's fireworks every night), then had 3 full days at the park, then a half-day Thursday, till we depart in the late afternoon. This allowed us time to see everything at a fairly leisurely pace, and still take midafternoon breaks to get away from the heat and the crowds that happen in the middle of the day.

Be sure to read Hydroguy's tips, on how to get the most out of your visit! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1520483

I would also say 4 days. (Although I could stay at least a week with no problem!). :thumbsup2

As a PP said, it kind of depends on what time of year you are going and how crowded it is. When do you think you will be coming?

I would say at least 4 days. We were there for 2.5 days and it was so crowded and my daughter was sick for 1 entire day so better to have extra days in case something happens AND so you are not rushed. It was quite stressful honestly packing all that in and having to leave so quickly. (Very exciting but too rushed/stressful).
