Hi, the whole FD is still a little confusing...I've been reading the DisBoards for days and couldn't figure this out. We check in about 6pm on Jan 21 and Check out Jan 30th. We got 7 days of tickets to the park (we are doing something else our 8th full day). Do we then get 7 days of dining? If so, any thoughts on us going ahead and buying two more days at the park so we get two more days of dining? I know the price for two extra days is pretty small. Or do we get FD for everyday we are at the resort?

No you wont have to buy extra tickets..only a 2 day ticket is required to get FD your entire stay but you do have to have rooom ressies..does that make sense?

You get free dining for every night of resort stay, you are staying 9 nights, so you get 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 SC for 9 nights for each person registered in the room if you are getting the regular dining plan...

The the dining plan (free or paid version) is based on the number of resort NIGHTS (not days) you have reserved. Free dining is not tied to the number of days of park tickets that you purchase -- there is a minimum of two days park tickets required but the bottom line is that the amount of dining points you get is tied to the number of nights you are staying at the hotel.

If you check in on Jan 21 and check out on Jan 30 that is 9 nights. You will receive the dining plan credits x 9.

As pointed out, you will receive 9 nights' worth of credits, which can be used any time between when you check in on the 21st and 11:59 PM on the 30th.

If you're at a moderate or deluxe resort, that's 9 TS, 9 CS, and 9 snacks per person; at a value resort that's 18 CS and 18 snacks per person, unless you upgrade to basic DDP ($11/adult/night).

Thanks everyone, you all cleared that up perfectly, and I don't have to spend any more $$
WOW now I know why everyone is so excited about the FD!!!

Oh yeah, Free DDP is great! We've done the regular one 5 times and this will be our first time doing QSDP. I am looking forward to using our 42 snacks, 42 CS meals, and 3 refillable mugs! We are a family of 3 staying 7 nights. I see a lot of snacking in our future.

You have checked out the sticky on allowable snacks, right? You can get more than the brochure says (soda, popcorn, ice cream novelties, etc.) There's a whole world out there of allowable snacks!:cloud9:

we were originally booked for a cruise next year, and decided it was better for our son to be land bound another year. I was so sad to give up the cruise, and DH really wanted some kind of dining plan, it was the icing on the cake to get it free! From what I've read, the QSDP seems better than the others.
