Hi I have 5 days till Disney. And I was been doing the happy dance for the past few months, but now that I am looking at the forecast (which I promised I wouldn't do) and I see that thundershowers are predicted for the entire week.

I'm celebrating my 17th wedding anniversary and traveling with our 2 sons (8&10). I've lost all enthusiasm. I'm staying off property at a condo with little to no activities.

Does anyone have any tips for how to get excited about going even though bad weather is expected for the entire trip! If you've "been there", can you share your experiences for making it an enjoyable vaca nonetheless.

Thx

It's August in Florida.. of course it's going to rain. The difference is that it is rarely a long rain. Usually just a passing storm. Don't let this weather get you down. Bring or buy ponchos and just forge ahead. It's what you make of it.

First off have a plan. For my group we bring movies and have cards in our owner's locker just in case the weather got that bad... which it never has. If it rains just keep on keeping on. The rain will stop... and the good news is the parks clear out. So be patient and it will be worth it. I don't suggest doing the norm, like Disney Quest, everyone out there has the same idea. You can always resort hop. See the different resorts. Something you wouldn't do if the weather was awesome for the entire trip. My biggest suggestion is try not just to take the bad about the weather. You are going to the greatest place of earth.

By the way..... this time next week EPCOT to see Spaceship Earth before it goes down for the rest of our trip.

This is helpful advice packing our uno cards and taking our streaming tv adapter for movies (JIK). Really like the idea of resort hopping as a possibility. There are so many I haven't seen thank you.

Too many for my taste. 52 days (and six more performances of Monty Python's Spamalot :thumbsup2 ...and hopefully one as the female lead? I'm the one and only understudy ;) )

I'm over a month away and I'm already this excited. I feel bad for my mom who has to deal with me if I get any more excited :hyper:

I hope I have helped to alleviate some of your stress. As the saying goes a bad day at Disney beats any day at home.

On my happy note... 6 days.
