Would 4 days be enough touring time in mid-January? I have a 'no-park' day scheduled in the middle of the week, but I keep wondering if I should make it a park day. I would like to have enough time to do alot of things in the parks, but don't want to feel rushed. Plus I also have our first day and last day as basically what ever we feel like doing. Will we need that mid-week break, or will we need 5 park days??

From our experience this January you should be able to do everything you want to do at each park in one day. The crowds were very low and the weather was great. We didn't have a no park day...wish we would have though. We went strong Sun - Sat (Thurs was at Sea World). Looking back we really did need a rest day.

No matter what you decide I know you will have a great trip. By the way we stayed at POP and it was GREAT!!

LOL I absolutely love how you guys always respond so fast!!
I love Pop Century, too!! What section did you guys stay in? We want to stay in the 80s this year.

Thanks for the advise!! :thumbsup2

We stayed in the 80s 1st floor room 7111. It was great, we could see the computer pool but not close enough to hear it (it wasn't that busy anyway) it was right by the lake and very conveinent to the parking lot.

Hopefully you will have weather like we did...it was 84 the first few days of our trip and then in the 70's the last few days. It only rained off and on for about 3 hours one day.

Oh how fun!!! Did you use the Disney busses? I'm wondering how far it is from the bus stops.

We did use the busses. Going from the room to the bus stop thru Classic Hall was about 5 mins...a nice walk in the mornings but sometimes a little longer than we wanted at night...it still wasn't bad though. Our 2nd to last day we found a short cut around by the playground that didn't go thru Classic Hall it was a lot quicker. Oddly enough we didn't use it at night...we just liked going through Everything Pop at night...so I guess the walk wasn't that bad...ha!!

Thank you so much for the info! That doesn't sound like a bad walk at all! We're going to get refillable mugs, so we'll probably go through Classic Hall to fill them up in the mornings and evenings. I'm still going to try and find that shortcut though! :teeth: I have another question. What was your door and window facing? I'm trying to get a mental picture of where your room was. It sounds like a good location. And did you ever go swimming in the pool? I'm wondering if it will be too cold, even if the pools are heated.

Walking out our door the computer pool was to the right and Mr & Mrs. Potato Head were to the left one of the 70's bldg was in front...when we walked thru that bldg we came out under the Big Wheel.

I didn't swim but DD did 3 nights. She didn't get cold at all!! She's only 9 so she can tolerate more than I can. There were a few adults in the pool with her though.

FYI - keep your eyes open for discount codes in Oct - Nov. One came out for us on 11/1 and we saved about $250. Will you be doing the Dining Plan? We did and thought it was great!!

OMG!! Thank you so much for the heads up!! Did you find the code here on the DIS? We are SO going to do the dining plan!!! LOL :teeth: We did it last year, and honestly it was one of the highlights of our trip! We loved being able to eat at all of the neat restaurants! I'm really having a hard time deciding where to eat this time! There are new places I want to try, but then again there were some really awsome ones that we ate at last year and want to do again! We're definately going to do Chef Mickey's and Boma again. And probably Tusker House again as on of our CS. Do you have any suggestions?

I don't remember if I found the code here or on MouseSavers...of course anything that hits MouseSavers pretty much hits here the same time...ha! I do remember that it was announced about a week before you could acutally use it.

We love Chef Mickey's too, we ate there for Dinner and for Breakfast in Jan. We liked Boma. Our absloute favorite was LeCellier...DH got the NY Strip & I got the Mushroom Filet...DD's got kids meals...our total "bill" was $136...so the dining plan was definitely worth it that day!! We all enjoyed 'OHana too...DH liked the skewers of meat that they bring. We liked Liberty Tree Tavern. Our least favorite meal was the Princess Storybook Lunch in Norway...the food there was a little too different for our liking...we enjoyed the interaction with the princesses so next time we will do breakfast. Our favorite CS was probably Pecos Bills. We didn't try Tusker House that's on the list for next time.

Thanks again! I'll definately keep an eye out for the codes. Is LeCellier 1 or 2 points? We were thinking of doing this one, but can't figure out for sure how many TS points it is. Pecos Bills is on our list for next time!

When we were there LeCellier was only 1 TS credit. I hope it stays that way.
