I am deciding on a European trip for the spring, considering going to one city for the whole trip or a cruise. If I go to Paris, I will want to go to DLP and have enough time to do everything like see the shows and ride all the rides.

How many days would you set aside for a solid DLP experience and how many days to do all the must-dos on a general Paris trip?

I'd say two days, one night at a minimum. Spring can be quite busy in the parks. I think 3 days/2 nights would be ideal.

We found 3 days, 2 nights at DLP to be plenty of time for everything. 2 days would have worked but it would have been less relaxing. For Paris itself, we had been before so we spent 2 days hitting the highlights. It was enough for us, but they were very busy days. You could obviously spend days/weeks/years just in Paris if you choose.

I agree... 3 days 2 nights is fine in the Disneyland park, it's a lot smaller than Disney world but the queue-ing system is less slick so it can take time to do things. 2 nights will also give you time to do things like Buffalo Bills which is outside the parks but still really worth doing.

As for Paris... The amount of time you need will depend on how many of the sights you want to see. It's a small city (far smaller than London) and easy to get around but the palace at Versailles will take a day, then you'll need a day to do a Sienne boat trip and Eiffel Tower, then perhaps one more day to explore the artists quarter, louve and champs Elysse. There's lots to see and coming all the way from America, you'll want to make the most of it.

A week in total for both would be plenty.

We did 2 days Paris (1 day Versailles, the other seeing Paris Highlights) and 2 days at DLP. We could have used an extra day for both, but we also did London,Windsor,Bath, and Stonehenge on that trip!

Oh good, I was worrying that 8 days wouldn't be enough! Fly out of NY on a Friday night and return the week after on a Sunday. Wonderful; this makes things much less stressful for me :) Thanks, all!
