How many days for DL and 2 baseball games?

My NJ family is planning a future trip to DL. We'd like to visit Disneyland, California Adventure and also catch an Anaheim Angels game, as well as an LA Dodger game. About how many days to you think we'll need? We're only going off property for the baseball games (on 2 seperate days, most likely.) The kids will be 8 and 9, and they enjoy thrill rides. We don't want to overdo the # of days we're there. We want to experience the parks and leave with the feeling that the time we spent there was "just enough." Any suggestions?
(Also, we won't be going back to California for a LONG time after this, so we want to get it right the first time!)

Depends on when you go. Assuming baseball is March-September here's my opinion on DLR's crowd levels:

Low: September

Moderate: Late April, May, early June, late August

Moderate-High: Late June, mid-late July, August

High: March, early April, early July

So now the number of days that I think is good for each time:

Low: 4 days (3 for parks and Anaheim game, 1 for LA game/offday)
Moderate: 5 days (3-4 for parks and Anaheim game, 1 for LA game/offday)
Moderate-High: 5 days (4 for the parks and Anaheim game, 1 for LA game/offday)
High: 6 days (4 full days for parks, 1 for Anaheim game, 1 for LA game)

Others may think differently though.

We usually see at least two Angels games when we go to CA. What we have done in the past few years is go the last part of May first part of June, usually the week before or after Memorial Day, depending on when they Angels will be in town, and have stayed from 7-10 days. DH grew up in the area so we do other stuff too. We did do one LAD game one year in addition to our Angels games and we used a day for that.

I love DL, so spending a bunch of time there is wonderful for me. I'd agree with the above post, as it depends on when you are going, only I would go at least 5 days, even in the low season. Besdies, if I were flying all the way across the country for a vacation, I'd want some relaxing time too. (Also for us, DH has a tendency to get up and get moving SLOWLY when we are on vacation.) You'll probably have some time before/after the game to do something at DL/DCA, so you could always use that time to do a favorite or two, or wonder around DTD, or just relax and enjoy your vacation. Also you'll probably want to think about what time your flights get in/leave and take that in to account too.

Good luck with planning and have a great trip!

Yep first week of June is the best I would think, not peak season, its not too busy, later hours, gorgeous weather and for just enough time I would put it at 3-4 days at DL

For our upcoming trip we'll be staying 7 nights and will probably see 2 or 3 games plus visit Disneyland and California Adventure again. I'm planning on one day for each park because our last trip was only 6 months ago and we have a 3 year old, so we don't do as much as the big kids :)

I don't think we'll do anything else on days where we'll see a game, it's just too much.
