In mid-may, we will be staying at HRH for our first ever trip to IOA/US. We will be staying at Boardwalk Villa at WDW and move over to HRH. I am trying to figure out how many days we need for universal to figure out the split of our stay.

My kids will be almost 5 and 2.

Thanks very much.:D

I would plan on at least 3 days/2 nights. That's how long we spent our first time and we saw a lot, but not everything. Part of it depends on the ages/heights of your children. If they are babies/toddlers you will need to do the baby swap for a lot of rides and that slows you down a bit. If they are at least 42" tall they can go on all but the thrill rides and you'll get more done. It also depends on how long, if any, of a midday break you want to take. We went back to the hotel for a few hours every afternoon. This visit we are only going to Universal and will be there for 5 days/4 nights.

Oops, I just reread that your kids are 5 and 2yo. so you will be doing the baby swap. I would plan on at least 3 days. Staying onsite you will have the front-of-the line access and will get a lot done. The rest you will do next visit!

Tigger&Belle,

Thanks very much. We will be staying at HRH for 3 nights and I was thinking if I should stay there longer, with 1 day at Sea World :D

I haven't been to Seaworld, but do know that they have the buy 1 day, get 2nd for free, so you might want to spend 2 days there and at least 3 at Universal.

My DD 4 and DS 6 and I have never been to Universal Studio and this will be our first time there. We are staying at RPH for 7nights. We have a 5 day pass and we might do Sea World. I think this will give us plenty of time to do everything there is for them to do and enjoy without tiring them out. We will have enough time to do pool hopping.

I think 4 days are good. One full day in USF and one full day in IOA...one full day in Sea World...and one full day to hang around the pool. This way you can enjoy the parks as well as relax at the resort.

Have a great time!!

Telly,

Thanks for the advice. I remember you from before. I am so glad that you are going to Orlando again with your kids. Your story was the one that is contantly on my mind and I was always wondering how you have come along.

I hope you will have a GREAT time with the kids and have a wonderful vacation both at US/IOA in April and WDW in June!!!!:D
