How many days at UO? TWO or THREE?

We are flying in late on 6/20. The plan was to be in the UO parks on 6/21-22. We are staying at RPR so we will have express passes.

Is two days plenty, or do we need three? My teens LOVE both roller coasters and Harry Potter.

Last time we went (in 2018) we booked four park days but only used three. But DH says he remembers thinking it was almost too long and could have been done in two days... then again, there are now new rides.

We will be there late-ish June. Thoughts?

If you are planning to hit all the rides and the shows, 3 days would be ideal.

Bourne show, is worth seeing, Horror Make Up show also entertaining, will eat up your time.
There are other shows that may interest you.

If rides are your only plans , go early and stay to closing time for a two day visit

Even with Express Passes? I can try to rearrange our trip to spend three days at Universal, but it does mess up some of my plans and will eat one of our "relaxing (no park)" days.

I always stay at RP and agree the EP really is worth its weight in gold

You will be able to cover many things in the parks and the dates you have set up I am guessing will be to your advantage for less wait times since you are avoiding the weekends

But…no idea this far out if you will be hitting crowds on your planned dates

You can easily do the parks on your check out day and still be able to use EE for the parks for that day if you have a park ticket

If you are rope drop to close and are constantly on the move, you could do it in two days. If you want a more relaxed pace and a second chance to ride something in case a ride is down for a day, three days. Three days also gives you more time for shows, which are enjoyable.

I agree with the three day plan as well. If you are really pushed for time, you could do it in 2 days, especially with having Express Passes. However, it will be very rushed if you are wanting to get through everything. For the time being Hagrid's is still not on Express so you will have to wait in that line. It is a great coaster and if your kids lover HP and coasters they will probably want to do it multiple times. This will eat up a bit of time depending on crowds, and if you want to do shows in addition that will add even more time. You could probably still get around but you wouldn't have much time to reride too much and especially be restricted on being able to explore the areas in the park like Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Three days will give you a much more relaxed trip and allow you to be able to do everything you want for sure. And if you feel like you've gotten to everything you want in a day, or don't need the full third day, you can go back to the hotel to relax and enjoy the pool, City Walk, etc.

This is the important part. Based on that, I would say 2 days. Personally, after 5 years away I would want more time - but that's just me. Actually, after 1 year away I still want more than 2 days. We also don't really do "relax" days - everyone tours differently.

Do you want to just ride everything once to check it off your list, or do you want to go on rides multiple times? I think you will have plenty of time to "do" everything in 2 days with EP - however, if you want to ride Hagrids 2-3x, see the shows, re-ride as you walk by rides each day, spend an extra hour exploring Knockturn Alley, all the HP shops, doing wands, etc - you will have a hard time doing that in 2 days.

If you're in the "we rode it yesterday so we're all set today" camp for almost all the rides, then you should stick to 2 days. Without repeating rides much, and with EP, it'll be harder to keep busy for 3 days. Especially if you aren't spending time exploring all the details & shops.

We usually spend about 2 1/2 days and can ride everything as many times as we want. But, we also have Express Passes so we have nearly no wait at most attractions.

You say you are flying in, thinking of spending two or three days in the parks (i assume 2 nights?).

should we assume that this isn’t the focus of the trip, perhaps a split trip to another park or other plans in FL area? If so, then I’d think two nights (which would give you three EP days) would suffice.

It’s three nights, but two park days.

We land relatively late the first day and will go straight to the hotel to sleep.

Then two days in the park.

The last morning heading off to Kennedy Space Station. After Kennedy we will be checking into the Swan to do Disney.

Gotcha. Good night’s sleep & you should be able to crank out U with very little commando’ing with the EP in hand. Thinking the park hours may be bit later by then, affording a mid day break even

always nice to hear when people work in something outside the metro tourist bubble, especially when it smacks of education lol. Love KSS, if you haven’t visited in the past, make sure to book any ‘special’ tours you’d like to do in advance.

Personally if you don’t intend to do volcano bay then 2. If it is your first trip 3 would be great. However you could do US/IOA in one day depending on which rides you might not ride, so you can do two for all three park.
