We have 4 day tickets (we didn't do hopper) We have character breakfast reservations at HS our last day I'm assuming because a ticket is required this means we have to plan to go to HS this day? I was thinking we'd do 2 days at MK and 2 at HS but after looking around HS I'm wondering if we will need 2 day at HS, our kids are 3 & 5 appreciate any thoughts! Thank you!

For a 4 day trip, I wouldn't visit DHS at all ... certainly not more than 1 day. We have trouble finding enough to do to fill up a couple of hours. There's only 5 rides and a handful of shows.

Also, yes, if you're having breakfast in the park (Hollywood and Vine?), park admission is required, so you'll have to eat up one of your multi-day tickets with that.

There are a few things your kids may enjoy at DHS, but you may have a hard time filling in a full days worth of touring, since chances are you'll be skipping most of the big name attractions (RnR, ToT, ST). DHS is pretty much the only place to find Disney Junior characters, so you are stuck with either not seeing those characters or sacrificing a day for DHS. IMO, I'd skip DHS and split your other 2 days between EC and AK.

I agree that one day should be enough. Hollywood Studios is going through a little bit (a lotta bit?) of a transformation right now and will be for awhile so I think one day is plenty right now. Our last trip we did two full days and while we found things to do, it wasn't necessary and we had gotten everything we really wanted to do done in the first day.
Just make sure you do some planning with this day because show times can throw off your plan a little if you don't have one and you might miss attractions you wanted to do.

Happy planning:)!!!

One day is plenty at HS.

We typically only spend a half day there, but there is still plenty to fill out a leisurely day at the park, especially if you let the kids play in the Honey I Shrunk the kids play area for a while. We usually grab the FP+ for the things that are normally a longer wait: Toy Story Midway Mania, Star Tours (40inches required), and Tower of Terror (40inches required). The Great Movie Ride is also a nice ride with the kids, even if they don't fully appreciate many of the film scenes shown :) The show lines are much faster, so we don't grab FP+ for them.

Animal Kingdom is a decent park, but again it's sort of small. You might consider checking it out as well though, since there are some fun things there are well. My kids love the petting zoo, the safari ride, The Bugs Life show, Everest, and the Rapids. With a 4-day pass, you might consider doing 2 days at the MK, 1 day at AK, and 1 day at HS. (If not, 3 days at MK and 1 day at HS, since a lot of people love MK the most and there is really a lot to see/do there with kiddos that age)

Have fun and enjoy your trip!

On a 4 day trip that's not during Star Wars Weekends, we do a little more than half a day at DHS. AK is the same. DH and DS will ride the coasters too, but we don't do many of the shows anymore. The shows can eat up a lot of time, because they are scheduled close together. I find I end up with breaks between them, because it's hard to fit them in back-to-back.

As much as I like DHS .. (and taking my 3 year old son there in August) .. I can't see more than 1 day for kids of any age.

It just depends on how many shows your kids want to see .. because that is all that is at DHS nowadays .. five "rides" (several of which aren't for young children) and several shows (that only have run several times a day). Because they've closed down several attractions (probably for future expansion) .. the park is a shell of its former self.

There are a lot of meet -n- greets there for your kids and the character meal (which you are doing) .. but one day should be fine.

Like many above .. I'd suggest Animal Kingdom.

Just one day at HS with children that age. They will enjoy TSMM but they will probably be to small for the other headliners, RnRC and ToT

My 5-6 year old loved Epcot on our first trip. We tried out DHS on our 2nd trip, and didn't find all that much to do there. Same with AK.

One day at HS was perfect for my kids 4 and 7 at the time. 2 days at MK. My kids loved AK and Epcot so I would recommend using that 4th day for another park.

On a 4 day trip, I would definitely only do 1 day at HS. We do 2.5 there usually, but that's over 8 or 9 days. Instead, I would add one of the other parks. My personal preference for my family would be Epcot, but you can't go wrong with either that or AK.

There's also Fantasmic!, but not sure about taking kids that young to a "late" night show.

We generally only spend part of 1 day at DHS -- esp. since not everyone in our group will ride RnR or ToT.

If it was me, and I had kids 3 & 5 and only 4 days I'd stick to MK and AK.

Last trip we were at HS for two half days (we had park hoppers). One evening/night -- though a meltdown had us miss Fantasmic -- and one morning.

IMO, if your children like meeting characters it's a great spot. Especially with the H&V character meal. I think it's worth a day. If I had 4 days with no hoppers (I have a 5.5 year old) I'd choose 2 at MK, 1 at AK and 1 at HS.

We actually do 2 days at MK, 2 at HS, 1 at Epcot and 1 at AK. For my family, we don't think that there is a whole lot to do at AK or Epcot. My kids are 5 and 7 this year but this is our third year in a row to go. We like the shows at HS and my oldest loves the rockin roller coaster and tower of terror. Our absolute favorite show at Disney is Fantasmic so we really enjoy HS. I think Epcot and AK are beautiful places and we always go there for at least one day but my family enjoys HS and MK the most!

half a day for HS - hands down... So many attractions closed right now, several in planning to be created... until then, half a day.
