We have 7 day park hopper tickets, plus we are planning on attending MNSSHP one day and not using a park ticket (resort day or Disney Springs) How many days would you spend in each park. It’s 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 7). Kids love rides, but also need need some downtime. Thoughts?

I would do 2 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 DHS, and 1 AK. Last day would be flexed and based on which park we liked the most and forget planning 2-6 months in advance for it.

You do have hoppers, so I would plan to split a few days. It can be fun that way. Plan around the nighttime shows that you want to see, and EMH as applicable. You have a lot of time, including that MNSSHP, so don't worry too much. Ido agree with mesaboy that MK and EP are definitely at least 2, HS and AK can be one. Depending on what you like most though, you may want to hit those again. Don't forget that HS is going to have Star Wars after August 29, so if you are going after that plan accordingly if that interests you (there are a few MNSSHPs in late August usually so I don't know exactly when we're talking).

Have fun!

What if you split up the days and just did epcot at night? its so pretty and would open the day up for many more rides for the kids at MK or AK. since you really dont need any FP for epcot other than maybe frozen. but it really depends if the countrys is a huge draw for your family. Also half day at HS if you get TSL fastpasses in the am.

Last time we went in November and it was a 5night/6day trip. We did 3 days at MK (1 day on arrival(1/2day), 1 full day and 3rd day we went for MVMCP (1/2day), 1 day Epcot, 1 day AK, and 1 day HS.

We didn't' need to pay extra for the Hoopers. Not sure with 7days if hoopers make sense since your already planning full days at each park. I think Hoopers would really only benefit for short trips.

For a 7day trip - is this including arrival and departure day? If you arrive late day & leave early on the 7th day it may change up how you plan your park days.

I would choose 2 days at MK (1 full day and 1 party day - during the party day you can use 1st half of the day at the resort pool and rest.)

1 Day at HS and 1 day at AK. (you can get to everything in 1 full day)

Epcot can be 1 full day but I understand the theory of it being 2 days if you go through every country in world showcase.

Thanks! We are heading there before Star Wars opens, so we will miss that chaos. We have free dining so we need to keep the hoppers. I like the idea of using the hoppers, but that is what Is throwing off my planning. I know my kids are going to want to do all of toy story, so possibly a day and half at HS might need to happen. We’ve never done AK at night, so maybe that can be a day we use hoppers.

We are 9 days total with arrival and departure days. Arrival day we are planning on doing a half day. We arrive early enough in the day to make it work I think. We will not be able to do anything on departure day. Early AM flight home.

This is how I would break it down too. 2 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 DHS, 1 AK, 1 TBD. We usually keep our last park day flexible too. We usually book FP at MK for that day, but modify if we decide we want to revisit another park.

With park hoppers and kids those age I would definitely consider hopping on many of the days and I’d alternate some early days to rope drop with at least 3 later evenings to see MK fireworks, illuminations and fantasmic.

MK and Epcot are lowest stress to rope drop since everyone is not heading to the same place. You can bang out a whole lot of rides in the first few hours then hop to either AK And use FP for FOP or HS and use FP for say slinky, tower terror and
Rock n roller coaster.

Make sure you book at least 1 of your Hs and AK days for later in the trip as FP for FOP /slinky are unlikely to be available until day 3 or 4.

I’d do something like:
1. Arrival day 1/2 day at MK
2. Split day Epcot rope drop / HS with 3 FP — can take boat from Epcot to HS
3. Later start MK / see
Fireworks
4. Split day rope drop Epcot/AK with 3 FP
5.Halloween party
6. Later start HS/fantasmic
7. AK / Epcot for illuminations

We are doing two at MK and two at AK, 1 at HS and 1 @ Epcot.
This allowed me to get both FOP and river at Animal Kingdom and my family loves animals we are doing a tour there .
Only doing 1 at HS but are doing EMM there to see TSL.
You need to figure out what will work best for your family, what you will like best, everyone is different

I have somewhat the same thing as you but no hoppers. I think with the hoppers, you can get in some afternoons at your hotel to rest. 7 days at the park might start to take there toll on the kids, especially if going 1st thing in the am. Im planning on taking the afternoons off and go back at nigh to see the fireworks etc. With hoppers, you guys should be able to get some extra fastpasses after you use up your first 3, and see the fireworks you like best.

And i was going to use my last day for kids choice. So ill make fast passes for something, but change it to wherever my daughter qants to go that day.

Just curious, why is everyone recomending 2 days at epcot? When i was a kid i hated epcot. As an adult i would like it, but with 2 kids in tow, is there that much for them to be excited about?
