How many days are ideal for each park?

Note: We are staying off site in a rental
house or condo as we have 6 kids (blended) ages 8-13. With 4 of them being "adults" shoving us into 2 value rooms is even hard at this point and $$, We will drive down so we have a car.

We last went to Disney in 2014. We spent one day at each park because it's all we could afford. I planned everything out thanks to this board and we got so much in! It went smoothly but we had to go all day from rope drop to close. We missed about a third of MK and half of World Showcase.

If we can swing it to stretch it out a bit, such as 2 days at MK, and so on... how would you space it out?

How many total park days will you have? My personal opinion for that age group would be 2 days MK, 1 day Epcot, 1 day AK, and 1/2 day to Hollywood Studios, but that could be changed by your kid's tastes (Star Wars/animals/princesses, etc) and how many day tickets you plan on buying.

Sorry that's what I'm asking . I haven't bought the tickets yet so I am wondering if it's really worth it to spread it out a few days. We will most likely arrive 6/9.

I suggest two days in each park except Hollywood Studios which is currently a one day park. I think it's really worth it to spread it out a few days. You tend to slow down and smell the roses when you have that kind of time. And if half way through one of the days you feel you have seen and done everything you want to do, you can head over to Disney Springs or just back to the rental. Get one with a pool!

Definitely 2 days at MK. As far the other parks it really depends on your likes and dislikes. My boys are 8 and 11, we typically would do 2 MK, 2 EPCOT, 1 AK, 1-2 DHS.

Since days 5,6and 7 of a multiple day ticket are only 20 dollars a day, and days 8,9,and 10 are only ten dollars a day, I would say get the longest length ticket you can use. That way you can pace yourself and not feel you gave to stay in a park all day and night. Two days in MK, AK, and Epcot, and a day in HS will use up 7 days. Then maybe those last three days of tickets at only ten dollars a day would give you time to go back and ride a favorite again, or do a night time after a day of Resort and pool time. Have fun!

This is SO dependent on what you and the family like. Thrill rides, shows, nostalgia rides, etc...? Also, how entertained are you by the general WDW atmosphere? Some people like it, others get bored of it.

We're lucky enough to take very long trips in the summer, over 2 weeks long. We'll hit each park 5 or 6 times easily, plus each water park 3 or 4 times and we're still not bored. But that's just us. So tailor it around what appeals to you. If you had 7 days, as an example, I'd do 2 at MK, 1.5 at Epcot, 1.5 HS, 2 AK if you have hoppers...if you don't, then between Epcot and HS one would get two days, one would get 1. I don't at all agree with those who say HS is a 1/2 day park. We love all of it's offerings, so we'll do the same shows and rides many times.

We only go every 3rd year so I plan on 2 days per park, one day for the girls to go into town and shop (my resort hopping day) and at their request 1 pool day (I plan on resort hopping to Values on that day).

If you can swing it, I would do 2 days per park except DHS which I would plan for 1 day. If that has to be shortened, I would pull one day off of EP or AK depending on your family's interests.

I'd say a good basic trip is one day at AK, DHS, and Epcot, and two days at MK.

After that, it's really personal. We love DHS, so we might chose an additional day there. Or a second day at AK to get another ride on FoP. Ideally, I'd say two days at AK, DHS, and Epcot and three at MK, but not necessarily spending the whole day in the park.

Most years we plan two days per park. This year we have hoppers so we are doing 1.5 day per park. Plus three US/IOA days

If Toy Story Land is open when you go (hopefully we will find out Sunday!), you would need a full day or maybe even 1.5 days at DHS, depending on the fastpass situation.

We tend to do 10 days in the parks, but that is just us.

For a starting point, I would say in order to see and do most things in the parks, you will need 2 days in MK, 2 days in Epcot, and 2 days in AK. I would think that 1 day would be enough to do most everything in DHS.

Two at Magic Kingdom. It's the heart of WDW and deserves the attention.
One at EPCOT unless you really like shopping...then two days there could be justified. The size of EPCOT should be considered (it's huge)
One day at both AK and HS.
I would build in an off day, perhaps two. This is just as important as the park days. You need to rest or you'll burn yourself out.

I have done: 1 day and 1 park which worked well in February in the 1990s. I have done hoppers with a longer trip in 2010 with a lot of time eating in World Showcase. I have done hoppers in 2014 with great results using half days at DHS and AK with hopping to MK and EP. This time I am doing hoppers again but have realized I will really need to meet my needs over 8 days...2 days at each park to maximize rides, shows and restaurants. You can certainly make a plan for shorter trips. 4 days and 4 parks is doable. Expect to miss some things. Otherwise...Days: 2MK to see most, 1AK to see most, 1HS to see most and 2EP to see both Future World and World Showcase adequately.
