Fifteen, various Visa/MC/AMEX/Store Cards which are all used for points and rewards and the like.

All have a zero balance or are paid off every month.

3 credit cards and 1 debit card. 1 credit card for our monthly auto payments, 1 for Costco/travel and 1 for everything else. The debit card is only used for banking purposes.

I think an ATM card is just that a card you can use to access your account at an ATM. It can not be used at stores to make purchases.

There exists ATM only cards. They do not display a Visa or MasterCard logo and can not be used like a debit card without a pin. Generally they can only be used in an ATM with the pin.

It can be difficult depending on the bank to get them to issue you an ATM card in place of a debit card.

That probably would work for me since the only place I use my debit card is at an ATM and my auto mechanic. And my mechanic still takes checks, so I could return to paying him that way.

No, I have an atm which allows me to take money from an atm machine, I can’t use it to pay for things. My husband has a debit he can use in stores.

I have two major ones, both opened 30+ years ago when H and I were in college. I have a target, kohls, macys, pink, old navy, for coupons and free shipping. I missed a $35 payment on target, called a day later and they removed fees and interest, but my credit limit is $500. I think I have around $75,000 with the 2 major cards so not worried.

None at the moment, a few debit and pre-charged cards with various banks.

Between my DH and myself we have nine. Never carry a balance on any of them. We charge everything we can. One is for travel and some we cash in points for money that we use when we travel. . When we travel we each carry two cards. You never know when you'll run into trouble.

22, most with different purposes and a few that I'm just waiting for the issuers to close for non-use. I also haven't paid for a flight in 5 years and only for a handful of hotel rooms.
