How many concert venues have you been to?

I'm enjoying the "How many sports stadiums have you been to" thread, as it's brought back old memories. And, it made me think about concerts - so I'm curious! I'll weigh in later. Pictures welcome!

A few. One of my favorites was a little "theater" in Chicago... no seats... where we saw Meat Loaf right up close on his Back Into Hell tour. Another was watching The Who at the baseball stadium in St. Louis.

I've been to indoor arenas, little outdoor venues, stadiums, riverfront venues, concert halls... some no longer exist.

Dozens for sure, please don't make me list them I've seen concerts in clubs with a few hundred people, theaters, amphitheaters, arenas, and stadiums. I'm pretty much retired from live shows, due in large part to the behavior of others in the audience, and I've seen everything that's important to me.

I'm not sure what that is. If it is some sort of childhood event then no.

Many but almost all in New York(From Madison Square Garden and MLB ballfields to CBGB in size) except a few in Jersey(Meadowlands, Stone Pony(friend made me go), maybe another or two). And one outdoor concert venue in Conn though I can't remember the name though it might have been Jersey.

Like Micca above, I've been to many venues of all sizes, all in the Boston area. The Music Hall, Boston Garden, Orpheum Theater, Paradise theater, Worcester DCU center and lots of smaller clubs and halls. I used to photograph in some of them back in the 70s and 80s.

Two venues, 3 concerts

Saw the Stones in 1965 at the original Aire Crown Theater in Chicago, before it and McCormick Place were destroyed by fire in 1967. Seating capacity was about 4,500, tickets were $3.50 (not 350, but 3.50). Everybody sat except for a few standing ovations and enjoyed the new group's music. They are coming to Chicago later this year, Soldier Field, capacity usually about 50,000 for big name concerts, everybody standing and dancing.

And then maybe 20-25 years ago, two United Center concerts, Springsteen with the 4 of us and a few years later, Neil Diamond with Marie.

I live in N. Virginia now, so Wolftrap, the Birchmere, Capital One Hall, some place at George Mason University, small local places (Jammin Java anyone?) A lot of places on the list I haven't been to yet.

Used to live in Pittsburgh, so the old Civic Arena, Carnegie Music Hall, Heinz Hall, Benedum Center, Byham theater, Star Lake amphitheater (or whatever they are calling it now), Jergels

Grew up in Cleveland so the Richfield coliseum (don't think its there any more?), The Agora, Severance Hall, Blossom Music Center, local bars near my college

I've been to the Boston Symphony in their hall

Recalling an incident, the family always reminds me of this. At Springsteen concert, the guy in front of us, maybe about early 20's, was with his girlfriend, and he was smoking a joint. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him to put it out. He looked at me and said, 'why?'. I replied to him,, 'because it's not allowed'. He started to grumble. His girlfriend told him to put it out. He did. All was fine. Today, maybe he would have shot me.

I have a friend who saw that same tour in OKC, I think the theater there might have been around 3000 capacity. I've seen the Stones a half-dozen times in stadiums, and I think I'd trade 5 of 'em to have seen that '65 show with the original members.
