Hey everyone,

I know this may sound weird, but I am debating how I should pack for my upcoming August trip. I will be there for 11 days.

I am planning on bringing 7 pairs of shorts, 10 shirts, 3 bathing suits and three pairs of shoes.

Is that enough or should I bring more. My wife of course is bringing twice that. LOL.

What do you think. I am debtaing if I should buy more shorts. I plan on using the laudromat at Pop Century and wear the shorts over.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

We have a washer and dryer in our condo, so I bring a 4 or 5 favorite outfits and do laundry. If you plan on doing laundry, then I think what you are planning will be fine. Remember you might want to change clothes in the afternoon or evening since it will be so hot.

Since you're already planning to do laundry, you should be able to bring fewer clothes. But remember that you're going during a "sweaty" time of year, so you might go through a couple of shirts a day (I like to go back to the room to freshen up in the afternoon and change shirts), so you might need more clothes than you think.

That's about the number of shorts my husband takes. I'm not sure about shirts--he takes t-shirts for parks but takes polos and Hawaiian shirts (not stylish, but he loves them) for evenings. Be sure to take lots of socks!

I am a huge fan of packing light! I hate dragging a suitcase around and find that at Disney, unless you are going to one of the restaurants with a dress code, you can get by with very casual clothing like you mention. I don't see needing three bathing suits though. The important thing is to have a pair of reallllllllly well broken in walking shoes (that can make or break a trip!) and maybe some sandals or casual shoes for dinners out, if dining out is in your plans. A previous poster mentioned changing clothes during the day, and I know that's true for us.

I usually pack travel sized detergent or measure some out in baggies and don't really mind doing a load or two during vacation if it means I can travel light! Oh and I hate packing up dirty clothes to bring home--but that's just one of my many neurosis:laughing:
