How many character meals to do?

We are going after Thanksgiving. For the 6 full days we will be at WDW we are doing 5 character meals. Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner, Liberty Tree (dinner), Crystal Palace (dinner), and breakfast at Breakfastasaurus. DW absolutly lovers Chef Mickey's and would eat there every night if she had her way.

I love any photo op and the character meals are a great place for that, especially for going with first timers (my mother, DS3 and DD1). This way we don't have to stand in as many lines for a lot of characters. We stood in line for Mickey Mouse for an hour. For an hour at Chef Mickey's we can eat and see Mickey and others.

My opinion,,, the more characters the better!

Enjoy.

I just booked 7 ADR's , 4 of them are character meals:

CP for Breakfast

1900 Park Fare at GF for Breakfast

Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK

LTT at MK for dinner

DD, 7, will be with us on this trip and she loves character meals. We think the food is wonderful at CP and very good at LTT. Dh wants to skip Chef Mickey's this trip. *sniff*sniff*

has anyone been to Cape May Cafe for the character breakfast? how was it?

WE have gone on some trips and GONE HOG CHARACTER WILD..by the end of the trip I am soooooooooo tired of juggling three autograph books, pictures and jumping up and down for pictures for those 100 BUCK BREAKFASTS THAT ARE RUSHED THROUGH that we have SCALED BACK.........and one or two meals or JUST ONE is fine for us now. LOL Don't get me wrong..they are fun and if this is your first trip..........I SAY GO FOR IT.

Until about an hour ago, I thought I had until Jan 22nd to make up my mind - giving me more time for research and to talk with the girls after they find out we are going (Christmas surprise). Just went over plans quickly with DH and will be calling in the morning. we are first timers and this trip is geared towards the girls, while they still have the princess magic, they will be 7 & 5, almost 8 & 6 when we go. Here's my wish list

day 1 - arrival
Dinner at Chef Mickeys

Day 2 - MK
Dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare
was originally going to try for the coveted CRT lunch but don't want to spend 2 TS credits per person on it

Day 3 - MGM
Fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose

Day 4 - Epcot
PSB lunch

Day 5
parents night out - DH wants seafood - Flying Fish
girls go to a kidsclub

Day 6 - MK
Dinner at Whispering Canyon

Day 7
Perfectly Princess Tea

Day 8
fly home in the afternoon

I guess you can tell what your children are comfortable with. For our upcoming trip we are doing:

Chef Mickey's
CRT
Crystal Palace

I figure we will get the classic characters, pooh and the princesses.

We will be doing three in the 8 nights that we are there. CRT (yes even with the price change, as we are on the dining plan, and have a 5yo DD), 1900 Park Fare for breakfast/brunch, and LTT.

I am thinking that with those, we have a good mix of characters, princesses, Mary Poppins and the mix that are at PF, and then the standard characters with LTT.

We are doing 3 in 4 nights before we leave for our cruise in April. One breakfast (1900 Park Fare) and 2 dinners (Chef Mickey's 1st night and LTT last night). We've done Crystal Palace and CRT before so we went for a "change".

Then, after our cruise, we have one night at WDW and we will end it at Chef Mickey's!!

Perhaps that's our new "tradition" begin and end at Chef Mickeys! :rotfl2:

Since we are on the dining plan too, I scheduled one for everyday that we are going to be there except for our departure day. I didn't want to feel rushed the day we are leaving. This is our first time (and probably our last if it is up to DH), so I am packing them all in........

Monday (arrival day) - dinner at Chef Mickey's
Tuesday - lunch at Crystal Palace
Wednesday - CRT
Thursday - breakfast at Norway with princesses
dinner at LeCellier
Friday - Donald's breakfast at Animal Kingdom
Satruday - Supercalifrag........ breakfast at Grand Floridian

I tried to only schedule one thing per day except for when we are at Epcot. DH wanted a good steak, so I made reservations at LeCellier for dinner that night.

We went in May and we had a very good experience...Chip and Dale were there and Minnie and Goofy...Goofy spent so much time with us. Our table was covered in white butcher paper...My girls had a name tag on and he saw it and drew a "Good Morning love Goofy" with an elaborate picture in crayon of himself...so cute. We tore it off and brought it home with us, then took pic and printed it out and put it in our scrapbook...very yummy breakfast.

ha ha I just it depends on the child lol > I am doing a lot of character meals. For my Birthday week (which will be 9 days) I am doing 6 character meals. The 1900 Park fair will be on my birthday ( I want to see Suzy and Perla on my birthday ) Also I am doing 3 other Character meals before my birthday week. One will be 1900 Park Fair again and 2 other Birthday characters meals. I am doing these other Birthday character meals before my Birthday week because I do have a lot of character meals for my birthday week lol

Also for Valentines week which will be a 7 day Vacation I will be doing 1900 Park Fair every night. So I will get to have Dinner with Suzy and Perla every night. Also I have my first ever character meal coming up this Sunday and it will be at the 1900 Park Fair with Suzy and Perla. I am so happy :)
