Just wondering how many character meals your family usually schedules on one trip. Do most people like to do one every day? Skip them entirely? We have a one-week trip scheduled for January and have 5 character meals planned.....what does your family usually do?

Had to go look at my list to see, lol!

We have 2 actual character meals (CRT and CP) for our 8-day trip, but then have other "entertainment" ones too (Coral Reef, Biergarten, 50's PT, etc)

Just two this coming trip (CP and Princess Storybook).

We have done up to 4 and thought it a bit too much, even for the kids.

None - we are all adults who are very much not into the character thing.

If I had children, I would probably only do one or two, assuming the kid was into meeting character.

Well for upcoming Christmas trip.. we have quite few (like 6 I think) scheduled... We are on the deluxe plan and realize that Christmas day at MK will be insane - so we are just going to concentrate on a few rides and then eat our way through Disney that day... But we have the following scheduled:

12/23 - Tusker House Breakfast
12/24 - Chef Mickey Breakfast
12/25 - Crystal Palace - Breakfast
CRT - Lunch
LTT - Dinner
12/26 - Hollywood & Vine - Breakfast

For our very first trip last year we did 3 for 7 days...

The first trip with the kids, we went crazy and did 5 character meals in 5 days. This was way too much:faint: Last trip we did 3 in an 8 day period and that was much better:thumbsup2 ;in fact we probably could have done 2 and the kids would have been happy because we also did HDDR and MVMCP.:woohoo:

We typically only do one, maybe two max. This time my girls picked CM's. We have never been, so it is going to be nice to try something new.

I hadn't realized but we are doing far less this trip. I guess maybe now that the kids ae getting older thoughwe all still love them, so actually I don't know why so few. I guess we are just trying some new places.
This rip we have
WCC
Kona
50s PT
Cali Grill (just DH and I)
Chef Mickey's Twice (Thanksgiving dinner and our last breakfast before we leave for home, both are traditions.)
CRT
LeCellier
Akerhaus

So I guess this trip there are 4, but there have been trips with many more...

I voted 2 because we always do Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. There have been trips where we did more, but usually 2.

We did 3 in 7 days. It fell on M, W and Friday and we will do the same next year. Worked out well for us.

My dh and I do a lot of character meals. It is fun, part of the magic and the best place to get pictures.

We LOVE character meals here. I refuse to stand in line to see characters so this works for us. I'm at WDW and just think the character meals are a big part of it for us! We have an 8 year old and 2 year old who love the characters too! It also keeps them occupied during meal time.

Our next trip is 8 days and we have:

Day 1: Crystal Palace dinner
Day 2: Tusker House BF and 1900 PF dinner
Day 3: Princess Storybook dinner (not booked yet)
Day 4: T-Rex (not booked but hoping!)
Day 5: CRT lunch
Day 6: Ohana dinner (not booked yet)
Day 7: Chef Mickey dinner
Day 8: checkout adn undecided if any

So I have 6 character meals and the other two meals are entertainmetn meals though. LOL

If it is DH and I we can do one or two, mostly breakfast ones. When we are going in Jan with our nieces I have 4 booked, all breakfast, for our 4 day trip

We have done alot in all our past visits. We are going Nov. 16-23. Right now I have none planned, DH would prefere to skip them this trip, but I was thinking of sneaking in 1 or 2. I just can't decide where. CM is a no, we have done it a few times and we arent crazy about the food, LTT is a good one and I just read they will be getting rid of Mickey and firends in Jan.:scared1: so maybe there. I like 1900, us girls have done CRT a few times, the boys just dont dig that.
:headache: UGGGG ITS DISNEY CRUNCH time, and this is when my brain turns to mush

we do them to see the characters and get the autographs to avoid standing in lines later - so Chef Mickey for the fab 5; CP for pooh and gang; a princess one - sometimes castle,or GF dinner and Norway (to get them all); if we don't do GF dinner will do lunch for those characters - so between 4-5

this year kids are older but they still want Chef Mickey and castle for the princesses!! usually the character meals are the buffets too which are often easier meals for us anyway - everyone is happy!

I have six character meals scheduled in 5 days for our upcoming trip!!

It is our first trip with our ds so we are going heavy on the characters!! But we usually do a bunch each trip because I LOVE interacting with the characters!!

We do at least 1/day when we go :). We love the excitement and anticipation that a character meal brings...dh and I are kids at heart anyway and our daughter (4) loves them as well.

We are doing more than 7, but we are also there for 2 weeks, so it is not one everyday. The kids are getting older and are starting to care less and less, but they still enjoy some of it, and so do my DH and I.

We have 1 almost every day we are there. I'm hoping this will get us out of standing in lines to meet the characters and they are all buffets which really works out best for our 4 antsy kids.
We have:
Donald's Breakfast
CRT
Hollywood and Vine Character Lunch
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace

We also hope to eat at T-Rex for the boys!
