I am looking to rent a Boardwalk villa studio for myself and 2 teenagers and read that some rooms have a queen bed, sofabed and a Daybed. Does anyone know how many there are of these types of rooms and how to request one? I have a 13yr old daughter and 16yr old son and we most definately do not like to sleep together. We stayed at OKW in a studio last time with 2 double beds and my son slept on the floor and was not too thrilled. I would love a 1 bedroom but it is almost double the points! Are there any other DVC studio rooms that have that a sofabed, daybed and regular bed or any resorts that will allow you to request a daybed in the room?(for free?) Thanks.

Not many, and it's possible that maybe with the current remodel that is underway it has even been removed but most importantly it really isn't a daybed but more like a bench with a thin mattress that more than a very small child would find too small and uncomfortable. DVC resorts do not provide rollaways so a blowup aero bed that you bring along or ship to your resort would be an option.

:)

The so-called "daybed" is a deacon's bench with a thin crib sized mattress on it. Not fit for anyone other than a very small child.

Studios only have either a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa or, at OKW, two queen beds. The Studio Plus at BWV is a dedicated studio (does not connect to a one bedroom to make a two bedroom) and the deacon's bench fits in the space where the door would have been. So that "daybed" is about 42" long.

Studio Plus used to be a request, but that was eliminated several years ago as a request. Now it is just the luck of the draw.

Those benches sure aren't big enough to sleep on. I can sit on it with my very skinny dd next to me, but there isn't any leftover room on it.
The studios aren't like the regular deluxe rooms. Those rooms tend to have two queen beds and a twin sized day bed. The studios don't. They are supposed to fit only 4, or 5 if that 5th is under 3.
Grab an aero bed and bring it with you. Then one of the kids can sleep on that.

97 studios are dedicated (have the daybed), 149 are lockoffs (no daybed). They usually book the dedicated first, so if you book at 11 months chances are you will get the dedicated.

It doesn't look like they were changed during the renovation, see this picture, it has a corner of the daybed:

We had a dedicated studio at BWV for spring break last year. We booked 7 months out and didn't request a dedicated studio or anything like that.

Anyway, we had the daybed. I'd say it was the size of one of those toddler beds that use a crib mattress, possibly a little more narrow. It was perfect for my average sized 5 year old but would have been pushing it for my tall 7 year old. No way a teenager would be comfortable.
