Specifically, let's say MK on a non-Holiday trip.

How many attractions (rides or shows) do you expect in a full day at MK? Say a 9AM - 9PM day.

I see posters throw around numbers of attractions people expect to engage in as though it is a given. And they are usually much lower numbers than I would aim for.

Interesting question. I chose a conservative 9-12 since the introduction of new FPs.

Before that, 15-20 was an easy number for us to accomplish in a day (usually RD-early afternoon then a break and returning in the evening until fireworks).

9AM-9PM no breaks? 16+
They won't all be headliners, but Magic Kingdom has tons to do and assuming you aren't doing 2 character meals and 9am is rope drop, you will get tons done if you are trying to. Are you just meandering and not caring? Maybe less, then.

I'd say I usually do 10-12 before dinner at MK. We don't do mountains, but we do spend a lot of time in gift shops and have several snacks and rest breaks throughout the day and see characters (which I'm not sure if you're counting). Meaning - we go slow!

So I voted for 13-16 because I think I could easily get at least 3 more attractions done after dinner if I stayed (which I usually don't).

In an 8 hour MNSSHP we did 16 distinct "events", so counting something like meeting Mickey, watching a parade, watching fireworks etc, I'd say 16+ on a 12 hour non holiday day. But we also did 10ish rides on Christmas Day leaving the park at 2 pm...

We easily did 18 attractions in the Magic Kingdom on a very busy summer day (July 3), and we took a 5 hour break that day starting at noon. I would say that number of attractions can be done during non-holiday times too with the use of rope drop, pre-park opening breakfast ADRs, FP+, and good touring strategies that understand the general flow of guests through the park.

I guess I'd count a character meal as a "ride", as it's a Disney event like fireworks or a parade to us.

At least 10 attractions during a MK day. It could easily be more, but we wouldn't stay from 9am to 9pm. We'd take a 2-3 hour break in the afternoon, or limit ourselves to about an 8 hour non-stop session.

we did 21 "attractions" plus both parades and evening Wishes and fireworks. Actually it was 19 but we did 7DMT and BuzzLightyear twice. We did not do any character meet and greets that day. This was in late September this year on a non-Halloween party day. Got there at 8:45 for rope drop and left after fireworks. We were exhausted!

I'd expect that 10-12 would be considered a satisfactory full day. When I was a kid, before FP existed in any form, I would probably expect 15+ in a full day but I also treated the parks differently and spent more time checking rides off a list (instead of enjoying the overall theme). This would probably include staying until closing in order to ride certain attractions multiple times in a row (maybe harder to do with 9pm closes).

The paper FP tickets probably made it easier to "game" the system a little more.

These days, it all depends on our mood. Sometimes, that's just a small handful of attractions, a leisurely meal, and strolling around for atmosphere. I don't do commando touring much anymore, but on a non-peak season day, it seems very possible to do 20+ if you don't focus on just the E ticket attractions.

How many attractions are there?

I expect to do everything I want. That would be:

Treehouse
Jungle Cruise
Pirates
Splash
BTMRR
Haunted Mansion
Country Bears
Small World
Peter Pan
Philharmagic
Tea Cups
7DMT
Little Mermaid
Barnstormer
Space Mountain
Buzz
CoP
Laugh Floor
Wishes
MSEP
Celebrate the Magic
FoF

With old FPs, I think I could pull off 16+. Not sure if I could do it with FP+ since I've only been with a toddler since it started. She really cramps my disney style. Even with her, we did at least 10, and that was with 3/4 days. Definitely not a full 12 hours, so I'd expect 13-16.

I picked 9-12. We won't do Pirates plus I don't expect to get as much done any more.

I was at Magic Kingdom last Tuesday from 9 am-7pm and did 13 attractions plus a character meal, quick service lunch, and watched 5 minutes worth each of two parades. I also had to spend time nursing my baby and changing her diaper, so without a baby I probably could have done 16-20 attractions.

I picked 9-12. That is just about all I ever plan to do in one day.

I am amazed at the people that are able to do 20+ attractions in one day.

We usually only spend a couple of hours a day at the parks. From nine to eleven in the morning we routinely cover about 11 attractions. Some things we ride twice. Five of us. Kids are 6, 6 and 11.

More than 1 thing each hour if we stayed in the Park for 12 hours….16+

At least 15, but we usually do more (did 19 this past time in July w/ getting there about 1 hr after open, not counting MSEP/CtM/Wishes). Only did 2 after Wishes so on a night it ends earlier I'd expect 15-17

I picked 5-8; I've reset my expectations based on my perceptions. I hope I'm underestimating.

Was at MK today from 9am-4 pm. Pretty busy day felt like a summer day with waits getting above 60 minutes for some attractions by 11am. We rode the following in order

People Mover
(Coffee break)
Space Mountain (FP+)
Little Mermaid
Philharmagic
Seven Dwarfs (FP+)
Hall of Presidents
(Be out guest lunch)
Big Thunder (FP+)
Festival or Fantasy Parade (got there 30 mind early for rope line)
Carousel of Progress

So seeing as we did 9 by 4 I would have been more than happy with 3 others plus the fireworks and main street electrical for a total of 14. I think 9-12 is under but still a good day.
