How many amusement parks can you visit in one day?

I will be on podcast cruise 6.0 and I live in SoCal, I am wondering, would I be able to get off the boat, go hit the 2 universal parks, then all 4 Disney World parks, fly home and hit the 2 parks out here, all before midnight? I have, on my way Back from Disney World, gone to Disneyland, which is great, to be in the Magic Kingdom in the morning, then Disneyland that same day (well, night)!

What do you all think? I think I might need assistant from someone with a car in FL to pull this off....

After my initial post, I kept wondering if it could be possible. Therefore I started calculating, backwards from the closing times in Anaheim.

I would do WDW first as this is furthest away from the airport and at this time the roads should be very quiet. Starting with Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot. Start with MK as there is arriving on time the most crucial, end with Epcot as this is closest to Universal.

I have no idea about Universal, never been there.

California Adventure closes at 10 pm, Disneyland Park at midnight. California Adventure needs to come first after your direct flight. With customs, travel time to Anaheim, you need a flight which lands at 8, I think best option is United at 5:30 from Orlando, landing at LAX at 7:59.

I think, the only way to make this possible if you have an AP or pre-bought tickets, a driver to pick you up and drop you off at every port/park/airport, checked in online for your flight, seat selected in the first rows of the plane, hand luggage only, no traffic, no delays, no queues at customs etc. And make sure you are well rested, no parties on the last cruise night ;-) Have a good breakfast and take some snacks with you.

Every park opens at 9. In each park you can only do one or two rides, close to the main gate preferably. No stops for lunch, dinner if you must at the airport, otherwise on the plane. But I would use the time on the plane to sleep.

This would be my schedule:
· 7:00am Leave ship at the latest
· 8:30am Arrival Magic Kingdom
· 9:30am Leave Magic Kingdom
· 10:00am Arrive Animal Kingdom
· 10:30am Leave Animal Kingdom
· 11:00am Arrive Hollywood Studios
· 11:30am Leave Hollywood Studios
· 12:00 Arrive Epcot
· 12:45pm Leave Epcot
· 1:30pm Arrive Universal & Isle of Adventures
· 3:45pm Leave Universal
· 4:30pm Arrive at MCO
· 5:30pm Depart with United
· 7:59pm Arrive LAX
· 9:30pm Arrive California Adventure
· 10:15pm Arrive Disneyland Park

I could see it possible to do all 4 WDW parks and 2 DL parks in one day, but then still it’s rushing and no time to enjoy.

I do have APs for all the parks..... I like to take Virgin America, they leave at 5:45p and arrive at
LAX at 8:10p.....

Thanks for the time schedule, I would probably do as little as possible in the parks, just to say I was there (and document it :)).... Sleep on the plane? I can never seem to do that..... but maybe I would be tired enough! I think the key thing, it getting someone to drive me......

If part of your requirement is to do at least one ride in each park, I think, especially with AK and DHS, its going to be difficult to enter and leave a park in a half hour. For example, in AK, the closest attraction that I can think of to the entrance would be It's Tough to be a Bug. Even that is a fair sized walk and entering/sitting/exiting that would kill your half hour.

Your schedule looks very tight and don't discount delays in transportation (even the 45 minutes up I-4 at lunch time to Universal can be a challenge). Also, your arrival back at MCO one hour ahead of your flight sounds risky...getting thru MCO security can be very slow (2 trips ago it took me 1.25 hours, last time about 15 minutes...seems random), so make sure you have TSA PreCheck, or Clear, or whatever gets you thru.

Good luck to you...I hope you get to enjoy it!

I've actually read about someone (I thought it was here on Dis) that did all 4 WDW parks and both DL parks in 1 day. They didn't add in Universal.

I think I read that too and I think he was planning on at least 2 rides in all 6 of the Disney parks. Throwing Universal into the mix seems a bit too much for me...but it might be fun to try.

4:30pm Arrive at MCO
· 5:30pm Depart with United

Oh gosh no. Not at MCO. That's way too late even with TSA pre. *Could* they make it? Yes. If fate intervened and the gods smiled and someone parted the crowds. But to assume it would happen? Gosh no.

(not even with 5:45 and Virgin)

OP I'd drop Uni. You can't do USH on this schedule, so to me what's the point of doing UO? (and trust me, I never tell people to NOT go to Uni...)

If we're thinking of the same thing it wasn't a poster on this forum but more of a blogger that I believe Disney blog posted about or featured. And he did it during the 24 hour event at MK if I do believe.

No idea if they were also a blogger but the one I'm thinking of was a female. She and her husband did it, maybe a teen son too? Not certain now. I thought it was during the time of the 60th stuff in CA

I woudl fly into John Wayne if possible...

Some folks took there picture at a key object in each park instead of riding rides...

I think it's doable without Universal. You have to leave some time for things to go wrong. I would set a goal like at least one character meet OR ride in each park. And I would hope you have an AP for at least one of the parks lol. When I did four parks in one day, I met Mickey in all four parks - that was a lot of fun!

I'm in agreement with the others -- why add in UO if you aren't doing USH?

Just Disney would be doable, barring any unforeseen issues:

· 7:00am Leave ship at the latest
· 8:30am Arrival Magic Kingdom
· 9:45 am Leave Magic Kingdom
· 10:15 am Arrive Animal Kingdom
· 11:30 am Leave Animal Kingdom
· 12:00 pm Arrive Hollywood Studios
· 1:00 pm Leave Hollywood Studios
· 1:30 Arrive Epcot (you can walk this -- the one place you don't need to have a driver or wait for a bus)
· 2:30 pm Leave Epcot
· 3:30 pm Arrive at MCO
· 5:45 pm Depart with Virgin
· 8:10 pm Arrive LAX
· 9:40 pm Arrive California Adventure
· 10:30 pm Arrive Disneyland Park

In 1992, I did three WDW parks, and then DL in the evening. I don't remember a lot of free time. Can't see the 8-park task being realistic.

I think this could be pulled off.. assuming there is a nice budget, I think you could make use of vip services to quickly get you in and out of the disney parks, including some rides. (they would use backstage and no delay getting from transportation to park and back out.

universal, not really sure how much of the park you want to see but doable to go around them and then off to the airport. I agree someone ready to get between locations and the airport would be a plus. Like the all rides at disney in 1 day you could probably get some nice press so I think you might be able to get a car service that would be up to the challenge to make sure you get around efficiently. Anaheim your on your own, I don't know that well enough.
