How many adults in a room for free dinning?

We booked the the bounce back program for Sept 2008 while visiting Sept 2007. At the time my son was 17 and without thinking told them the room was for 2 adults/1 child. He will be 18 this summer and so it will actually be for 3 adults. Does anyone have experience with more than 2 adults in a value room with free dinning? Do you think Disney monitors the ages of your children in their computer systems as you visit through out the years.

I don't know if there are special rules applied during free dining (I doubt it) but there is a per/night fee for more than 2 adults in the room.

Disney "knows" my family and children. When calling to make a reservation, I have had CM's list my children before I have mentioned them.

I would call back, now, and update his age. It's an honest and easily made mistake when planning a trip a year in advance.

whatever the room limit is normally, that's what it is for free dining... but there will be an add'l charge for any more than two adults in a standard room... so while your son will qualify for free dining, your room will cost a little more...

and yes, disney does keep records re: kids/ages/# of visits/addresses/etc... although for some reason one year they did not upgrade my dd's age and i had the HARDEST time convincing them she was TEN not NINE, and had to have it changed repeatedly before it "stuck!" (i could have saved a bundle had i let their mistake go uncommented on)

Actually, in Disney's eyes he already is an adult - that's defined as 10 and up. If you gave them his age they would have entered him as adult. Edit - sorry!!!!! Just re-read your post and you mean he's a child for room purposes, not ticket and dining. SORRY - ignore this post (need big embarrassed smiley !)

The per night fee is an additional $15.00 per night, per adult over the first two.

Actually for value resorts it's $10/nt. Moderates is $15 and Deluxe is $25.

Sorry, I've never had to deal with it since I have DVC!

How would disney know if we book room-only for 2 adults and 1 child and we bring our 22 year old son and buy tix separately from AAA? :rolleyes1

No room key, so no EMH and no DDP credits if your talking free dining. Plus a whole other can of worms I'm not touching!

He wouldn't have his own room key/card, needed to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours (EMH). Some resorts request proof of resort I.D. to use the pool. Also, if you are planning on free dining, the key/card will only list registered guest, so he would not receive any dining credits... cost to feed a 22 year old, would far exceed the cost of adding him to a room reservation.

And the son not on the reservation would not be able to use Magical Express, if you are flying and not renting a car. That alone is worth at least $30, depending on the cost of shuttles or taxi.
