AKV $65.00 a pt BWV $55.00 and WLV $55.00 a pt :confused3
I just checked out the ROFR thread after not looking at it for awhile. I can't believe how low the prices have gone. I almost wish I needed more points to justify buying, How low can they go? How will Disney be able to get $130.00 and $140.00 a point?

I spoke with a broker this morning. She told me SSR =$50-$60
OKW is pretty much the same amount but there were a few ROFR'd recently at that price.

AKV, BWV AND VWL =$55-$65

BCV =$70-$80

BLT =$85-$90

What amazes me is the low value if AKVs. I love it there. I can't figure it out except for the location and how can that bother people since you are on a bus anyway for some part of your vacation. It seems like a small concession for such a nice resort.

However, when I was selling my points I had an unbelievably hard time selling my fully loaded AKV contracts. That's when I decided to NEVER buy points there again. But never's a long time so one never knows, does one?:rolleyes1

I agree with you. I love my AKV. But I think one of the reasons the prices are so low is the quantity out there. It's a much larger resort (like SSR) and the primary sales hit just before the economy collapsed. I think a bunch of people got into financial trouble and needed to sell so there are just a whole lot more out there. It comes down to supply and demand.

I really hate to even say this for fear it will come true. I really think that if resale prices continue to drop, we are going to see more restrictions added to resale versus direct buy.

If you love it there, why did you sell yours, :confused3

I wonder, if there are more restrictions isn't that going to drive resale prices even further? Is it naive of me to think that "word" wouldn't get out that you can't sell your DVC for more than a pittance b/c of a bunch of restrictions on points, etc...?
I also wonder, if they were to restrict usage further, what would that mean; only to be used at your home resort? Would that conceivably tie up that resort with folks who can't stay elsewhere?
I guess they could say that no resale customers can stay at any resort built after a certain date? (GFV?)

I still don't understand why they don't exercise ROFR more. Especially the "sold out" resorts. I originally spoke to a guide about BCV with April UY, she said I could get put on a list. I found a resale on line, April UY; why wouldn't they buy that and sell it back to me for $110? Instead I bought it for $80. They already sold the points, what's the harm in buying up contracts that you know you'll sell AGAIN for a profit within a matter of days, maybe weeks? This would also probably bring up resale prices a bit which theoretically should help them with direct sales. Oh well.
