How long would this take?

I was thinking of doing Whispering Canyon. We are staying at OKw. If we take the boat to DTD and get a bus to Wilderness Lodge, how long would that take?

It depends of course on how long you wait for busses. Personally, for the least amount of time from OKW I'd take the bus to DD. I'd allow at least a good 1-1 1/2 hours. All things working out as usual probably just under an hour, but I always over estimate just in case. If we get places early, we just put our name in and they always seat us. (Of course that's been our experience, so don't count on that every time I guess, but we've never had a problem with it)

If you are sold on a boat ride, take the bus to Magic Kingdom from OKW, and the boat from there to Wilderness Lodge.

I recently stayed at OKW for the first time, and we actually just got a ride from the guys that run the bell hop station. Paul is the manager, he asked us where we wanted to go, and he drove us to the Wilderness Lodge, and we just gave him a nice tip...HE WAS SO FUN! He told us anytime we needed to go anywhere just call downstairs and he would take us...we did this a few times instead of worrying how to get from A to B with disney transportation. We had a large group and took turns tipping..it was usually 10-20 bucks for a roundtrip (but there was also 10 of us!)

I would recommend this!

Wow, really, they drove you there? How awesome! I think we will try that and if not take another route. We aren't sold on the boat ride, I was just trying to think of the closest place to OKW to get other transportation to WL!

Here's the deal. The Downtown Disney bus to WL will make a stop at Pleasure Island after you catch it. If Typhoon Lagoon is open, it will also make a stop there.

If you take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, you won't stop anywhere else (except the other stops at OKW if you aren't getting on at the last stop). From MK you can take either a boat or a bus to WL.
