How long will the $85 deal be offered?

We're still thinking about our summer vacation plans and I'm wondering how long the 5 day, 2 park passes for $85 at Universal/IOA will be offered. It seems like a great deal, but I don't want to purchase tickets yet.

In doing some research, I found Busch Gardens was doing the same type of thing-7 day pass to BG and SeaWorld for $85. Getting the Universal ticket and the BG one comes to $170, and is cheaper than the flex ticket. We'd only be going for 7 or 8 days so the 14 day flex ticket wouldn't be an advantage for us. Any thoughts?

It is unknown how long it will be offered. Doing all four parks sounds like great fun!

No one knows how long it will be offered but we got it for a trip last October. It brings in the people who then spend money on other things so as long as they think it is making them money, they'll offer it.

I was eyeing these tix too and wondered - how long can you "hang onto them"? I couldn't find an expiry date (as in, "must activate by 12/31/07")

We weren't planning an immediate trip down to US/IOA but the price sounds pretty good and I have an AP... getting tix for nearly a week for my other 4 fam members would be pretty sweet at that price. Might make a nice sudden little summer vacation package, but if we DON'T make it down this summer, I'd want to know if the tix expire by year's end.

They should be offered for quite a while yet. The new Universal Orlando television commercials just started today and the tickets are heavily advertised in them.

gopherit -
There is no "use by date".
I emailed uso customer service to see if we could still use these in Jan 2008, and they said yes, there is no experation (except once you activate them, it expires after seven days).

I have read that the users of these tickets need a picture id. Does this also apply to kids under 12? Do they need any kind of id?

You need photo ID if you have vouchers and are are redeeming the voucher for tickets. If you already have your tickets, you might need an ID is if you have problems with the biometrics. Your children will not need photo ID.

I have a question, it says good for 7 consecutive days, then says expires 6 days after first day of use, my question is if we go one day then not on the next, then go back the next, is it ok?If we skip a day, is it still valid? I have a feeling it is, just want to know for sure.

Yes it is okay to skip a day, but the tickets will still expire one the 6th day after first use.

The TAs @ my local AAA are dippy so take this w/a huge grain of salt...

They state:

1) they have "tons" of the actual tixs in hand for sale (not vouchers)

2) they have NO expiration or use by date stamped on them

3) they aren't charging tax either:thumbsup2 , so it's a flat $85 thru them.

I got 2 thru my AAA 2 weeks ago.

1) They did have quite a few actual tickets

2) There are no use by dates, but once activated, they will expire in 6 days

3) No tax here in Taxachusetts - $85 / ticket!!

I purchased these tickets for our trip in June and I am assuming with these tickets it is possible to hit a park in the morning, leave go back to the hotel and swim and then later go to the other park and use only one day of the ticket. I guess what I am saying is this like a park hopper at Disney?

Yes, they are park hoppers.

:goodvibes Hey, thanks for the heads-up re: AAA purchase. Since I'm getting 4 tix, may as well save myself the sales tax where possible - I think I'll give our AAA group here a call and save ourselves if possible the 20 bucks or so!
