How long will it take to get my points for a free flight on SW?

I just applied for the premier SW CC and will receive 30,000 points after my first purchase..this will get my family 3 tickets..well worth the $99 annual fee. How long will the points take to show up???

I just called SW yesterday to see about my pts after first purchase they told me between 6-8 weeks.
