How long will breakfast at CP last?

If we make 8:05 ressies, how long should it take to eat and meet characters and be out the front door? An hour - hour and a half?

That early wouldn't take that long. Last year we had an 8:00 or an 8:05 and we were out before rope drop and we saw all the characters and were able to eat our fill.

What time is rope drop typically? You are talking to a later waker...we never make rope drops, but figured if i make the first adr then we'll be forced to get there that early!

Rope drop is normally at 9am (with the exception on EMH mornings).

I've dined at CP and had an 8:05am ADR. I was done eating & meeting the characters by 8:40am. It was nice to get some pictures of the Main Street area with no one there. There are ropes not only at the end of Main Street, but also at the entrances to the various lands. CM's are at all of these and will not let anyone go by prior to rope drop. It was just nice to be there versus at the entrance.

I always figure 1 hour for character meals. You should make rope drop just fine.

we were there in march and had an 810 ADR, we ate and saw 2 characters by 845, then the parade started and the characters took a break, we wanted to make rope drop so we asked for the check and left, we wouldnt have made ropedrop if we didnt leave.

If I remember correctly - about 15 minutes prior, but I'm not 100% positive on that.

We have done the 8:05 many many time and are ready to go by 8:40 but we are just 2 adults and do not mind missing characters

CP is our favorite breakfast adr. We have eaten there on each of our trips & we almost always get an 8:05 adr. We have been able to eat, see all the characters, do the parade around the room, and do whatever else before rope drop and we were not rushed at all.
