We are getting married next summer and plan to honeymoon at WDW. Just wondering how long your honeymoon was. I want to go for 12 days/ 11 nights (two days for travel and ten days of fun). Does that sound a little long to you ? How long was yours? Thanks

our disneymoon in January is 7 nights, sunday to sunday. as it is, DF wil be mssing three days of Law school, and so we cannot go any longer than that. plus, our trip is getting super pricy!

Hell No!! We re planning to spend 30 days in America for our wedding/ honeymoon. We ll be in Disney for 20 days & spend 10 days in Seattle. So id definatly say your honeymoon doesn't sound too long hun. Besides its your honeymoon so spend as long on it as you want, your only suppose to have one honeymoon so enjoy!!!

sounds perfect, gives you plenty of time for everything ie prewedding activities & time with family, the wedding & then alone time for the 2 of you.

we were at disney 10 days with our wedding & disneymoon, then we went to st. lucia.

After our wedding we were in Disney for 3 more days; then one day at home (we didn't tell anyone we were home and made it part of our romantic honeymoon - it was fun to be sneaky); then a 4-day Caribbean cruise. So I guess that's 8 days total. It was a wonderful honeymoon :cloud9:

11 nights at WDW isn't too long; we stayed 10 nights for our wedding/honeymoon trip, and we wished it had been longer!
It will give you time to do things beyond the parks.
Cheers!

Our honeymoon is 10 nights after the wedding so no way do I think its too long! ;)

Not at all! We are also doing the 12 day/11 night honeymoon and to be honest...we wanted more time...but our budget didn't allow for it this time. I think it is a great amount because you can be a kid and run around and have a blast...but still have time to do the relaxing, do nothing, sleep late thing and not feel like you are under time pressure. I hope you have a GREAT wedding and a wonderful honeymoon!!!!!!

I don't think it is too long.. My normal trips are that long!! You can have some great meals, just enjoy each other ;) and smell the roses. It will be so much fun and you won't feel like you didn't get to do anything.

WOW. i would love to have a longer honeymoon, but time and money don't allow....30 days? do you people not have jobs?!? (I mean that in a funny way, not trying to be mean! *jealous*) I am a student and work and could never take off more than a week! and my DF is in law school and there is NO WAY that is happening! lol! :sad2:

we are planning to go for 14 days! (not going until Jan '08.......how in the world am I supposed to wait that long???!!!)

From what i can figure we have more vacation time off work in the UK - i get 25 days a year.

I will be in Disney for 2 weeks, followed by a 3 night cruise then another day at Disney.
I was going to extend it but then decided i could save the money and go back again in March LOL!

We had a 3 week stay in Florida as part of our wedding/honeymoon. We were there for a week and a half before the wedding and a week and half afterwards.

We are already traveling to disneyland for our wedding and taking 3 days off for the wedding so we don't really have the time to take a long honeymoon. We are planning on taking off the whole next week after our wedding and probably taking a 4-5 night honeymoon.

I say take as long as you can, its your honeymoon
we did five days at WDW then flew to Spain for three days and then went on a fourteen day Med cruise....It was the best vacation ever...

As far as work goes I've been with the company for years and get 5wks vacation
DH gets 7wks, but we can only take 28 days at a time (i know poor us...lol)

We ve been engaged for 7 yrs :woohoo: exactly this week so we figured that when we get married we re gonna do it in style plus we ve not had a proper holiday for a few years :sad2: so by the time 2009 comes round 30 days of fun in Orlando & Seattle will be just what the doctor ordered.

Trust me we both work unfortunatly although i wish i was a house wife :wizard: :rotfl: !! We get five weeks holiday per year so 30 days in America is possible just have to use most of our holiday at once but boy will it be worth it :woohoo: .

We're spending two weeks in Disney World for our wedding/honeymoon trip. We gave thought to going else where, but there's no where else we really want to go. We travel a fair amount and will most likely be moving to Europe after the wedding so we thought we'd stay at the place that makes us happiest. We've already decided that we're giving four days to wedding events and guests (spending time with them) and then ten days just for us without talking to anyone!!

We're going for 14 days.... buuutttt we're going to do 8 days disney and the rest in daytona on the beach :cool1: so that we can relax in the sand and have some *quiet* time. hoooorahhhh so excited!! i say take as long as work allows! (i'm going in the hole a few days for our honeymoon, but who cares? i don't mind taking a few days unpaid..... :cloud9: )

Not too long at all! Sounds perfect to me! That way you can relax and really enjoy each other and all WDW has to offer. I know that whenever we are there for less than 6 days it feels like we don't get enough sleep and we're always running to get everything in and still missing a bunch of things we want to see. It's wonderful to start planning now. I took an 8 day trip with a friend a few summers ago - we kept ourselves busy all the time, only had 1 ADR and still never made it to much of anything outside the parks. You can enjoy some pool time at the resort, maybe a couple's massage at the GF or SS spa, Jellyrolls piano bar, mini golf, lots of dining and show/entertainment options, etc. You'll have an amazing time!

Edited to add:
I forgot to answer your Q? in the title of your thread! We only took what I call a "Minnie-moon" - we spent 9ish days in WDW over our wedding - but the first 2 or 3 were a lot of still getting things ready for the big day, then the rehearsal, the wedding, then 3 days in the parks with our guests. We ended up with less than 2 days to ourselves! We're hoping to plan an 8 day Disney trip for just the two of us as a belated honeymoon.

We are going to Thailand for 1 week and then to Bora Bora for 1 week, so 2 weeks total :) It is actually too short for us because my fiance is a trader on wall street and is required to take at least 2 weeks off at one time so that they can monitor his clients while he is gone to make sure there is nothing illegal going on.. I am a PhD student so taking the time off isn't too difficult for me! We will be taking 1 off for the wedding and then 2 honeymoon weeks so 3 total! :)
